Deserve Mediocrity

When we were independent we HAD to win to be able to pay for other sports. But since we joined the socialist ACC, we can be Wake Forrest and still have a women's basketball club, even if no one watches at the stadium OR at home. We can just rely on FSU bringing in bowl money.

This is what they wanted. This is the dream fulfilled for them.

We should show better than we do. The fact that we don't is bull****. Results need to be demanded.

YOu missed tonight's punchline. The expansion of the ACC gets us bowl and post season basketball monies from Louisville's post season successes.

That would make sense except we were an elite program while we were in the Big East.

While that is true, the Big East was set up as a "you eat what you kill" league. That's the reason we went to the ACC, revenue sharing and the added bonus of a conference title game. We can finish first or last and get relatively the same money from the league. Thus the idea from the top down that we no longer have to bring in goons to win, because, why do we have to win? Ergo, we dont, so no goons or foosball players who laugh at the idea of college allowed.

But with that line of thinking, why did Donna fire Shannon? If she only cared about the revenue sharing she would've just kept him around and been content with 8-9 win seasons.

I think she wants the football team to win, just to do it very cleanly, which is very difficult in today's age.

Just spit-balling, but I'd say the Shwartz Center. Might memory might be off, but that was supposed to be announced at half-time of the 2010 FSU game. They were supposed to have a big ceremony announcing later that week too. Once that game happened the way it did, all of suddenly there wasn't a press conference and we didn't hear a word about it until after Golden got hired.

Perhaps. But then to give Golden an extension after his first year with a raise?

That's just regular ***, par for the course stupidity by UM. It's to be expected.

I really thought Golden was the guy. The guy who would lead us back to being a national power.

He had me fooled up until the VT game this year. Then doubt crept in. After the Duke game I knew we were ****ed.
