If your going to try to flip Derry and keep Newton...gonna need to have a bigger 1 tech in the class which would be Simpson..but he may need to turn it up a bit in the next coming weeks.

I say because we still will be chipping for guys like Elijah Griffin and some others might pop available who they may want to flip.

If not we for sure need to portal with the dt losses coming after this year and allow those 3 to shirt and develop.

Both kids look quick! It Norris really is 6-3 that’s not bad. Newton looks legit also. State has done a good job of finding lineman. And key doesn’t recruit kids who suck in the lines. Idk

yup i know they probably see Newton as a 6'2 285 pound type down the road....and they recruited guys like Daylyn Russel in similar fashion.

Derry fits that mold currently.

Simpson is a 300 pounder right now or close to it so i get, but he ho hum right now early in his szn film

Miami will have kids on their roster who are over 300 pounds. But having kids who are 6-2 6-3 285-290 with quickness are fine. Not every kid needs to be 325. A lot of posters don’t understand the quickness part. Newton is 263 right now. No reason can’t play at 290 and maintain his pass rushing and quickness. Norris also. They are going to sign a bunch of kids on the lines and the ones that can ball stick and the others leave. That’s a UGA problem. And if it’s ours we are in good shape.

We are going to sign more DLs and DBs than per usual.

Not sure how that will break out HS vs. Portal. But the numbers will be big.
