In another thread someone posted that Miami has been in contact with Henry..

What are everyone's thoughts on Henry and what position do they see him projecting to in college?

In HS he is a RB but there is talk about him not staying at the position.

He is listed at 6'3 240.

I have heard a couple analysts say that he would be a standout Tight End/H-Back.

From playing RB he would have the speed and very good skill with the ball in his hands.

FSU, UGA, and Bama have told him they will start him out as a RB. He wants to play RB and has been adamant about changing positions.

I'm not high on him as a RB, and he is ****-bent on playing it. He is a 5* talent on the defensive side of the ball, but I would take Collins over him if we're talking about him as a running back

Collins is a much better pure RB than Henry is, but still, the kid is a friggin beast on the field. He has been tearing it up for years, just not sure where he fits in.

I didn't think his commitment to Georgia would stick for long but I know FSU was a big player for him a little while back. We were on his radar but at the time it seemed we were behind a few teams.

Seeing that I have seen him play personally, he most definitely would be an unstoppable short yardage/power back. He almost never gets anything under 3 yds. He has amassed over 5K yards and still has an entire season left to play. He is not a quick starter but has long speed turn the corner probably wont catch him. .. Long strider

He is not a willing tackler (plays safety) but in my humble opinion his future is TE/H-Back or Rush specialist 3/4 LB
or true DE. Last I heard he was a strong GA lock. The kid isnt stupid though he doesnt believe some of the schools (ie GA) telling him he will be a RB.

He is almost 250 and not in a college strength program. But it's not fat the kid runs track (sprints)

His buddy is headed to S.Carol. I imagine they will be a player for him as well.

Great post man thanks for the insight.

Kid would make a nice part-time tailback

Line him up at fullback or h-back most downs, tailback for short yardage or change-of-pace

Feels like another J. Wilder, great athlete, great high school RB, but better suited to play another position in college and just doesn't want to listen to anyone else. Henry should ask Wilder how that bench at FSU feels.

Bingo...kid should be on D but insists on RB. Wilder is perfect example...

Feel like these kids see L. Blount and B. Jacobs in the pros and feel that is what they can do, but don't realize those guys are exceptions to the rule, not the norm.

True but at the same time, those big bruiser type of backs generally don't last that long, or at least that's how it appears to me, I don't have the statistics to back it up though.

Meh...he wants to play tailback and almost nobody is willing to have him play there. Bama, FSU, and Tennessee are about the only schools still selling him that dream. Kid is a freak athlete with no position, he **** sure ain't a tailback. Whatever school he plays for he'll have to learn a new position...most likely LB or DE and by the time he learns it his eligibility may be almost done.
