Depth at DE has players excited

the defense will win a few games this year with turnovers and stops. if they have an epic performance on sept 16 then we have a legitimate shot to win that game even with an inexperienced or freshman QB.
 
Great to hear Scott Patchan is healthy. I remember him starting football in our New Tampa program. Got to know his dad really well. Was surprised to see him play against fsu, but really surprised to see him play well.
 
Coach Diaz gonna be like: "I don't want them to gain another yard! You BLITZ ALL NIGHT!!! If they cross the line of scrimmage, I'll take every last one of you out!"

He looked like he was shot out of a cannon on that one play he drilled Frenchie. I was like "who the **** was that", and had to check the roster to figure out it was Patchan. Really hope he stays healthy. Just keep rolling out fresh guys to get after the QB all ****ing game. Kick Thomas and someone like DJ, Garvin or Demetrius down inside on passing situations and get after it. Make the secondary look like studs when QB's are trying to get rid of the ball too quickly or can't set their feet to make accurate throws. The fact that there's talent in the back end, albeit with limited experience, should allow them to take advantage of a strong front 7.

Yeah patchan always has had a great get off. When he was at img when they played god by the first game of the season he was quick af off the edge. Only problem with him is staying healthy but he defintiely has talent
 
Patchan...my surprise player this season. I think Gordinier is going to surprise a few folks also.
 
Like I said in another thread, Miami has a bunch of talent floating around on this roster and it will be very fun once the pads come on!! Our 2017' squad is healthier and better, the depth at DEnd is very impressive..

I agree.. With the freshmen Miami have, this group is deep.. I can't wait til the players put on the pads, it's sure a different atmosphere at Miami now, Diaz will have this defense rolling come September 2!!
