Well, you say Perryman can go sideline to sideline, and that is exactly the thing the MLB will do. When they run away from him when he was at OLB, it makes it so he'd only get a tackle if it was at least 5 yards up field because he had so much ground to cover. At MLB he will be able to play downhill to both sides of him, which will put him in better position to make every play before they get a first down.
As for 2 years ago when he was at MLB, maybe he didn't trust his reads as much as he does now. He certainly wasn't as strong, so he will be better at shedding blocks. Plus he is our best overall linebacker, so he will do well. I just hope he is able to make more tackles at the line/behind the line of scrimmage because last year too many were around 5 yards...
