Denzel Daxon 2019 DT UM commit has an interesting back story

The coach thats his guardian use to post on grassy and here..not sure if he still is on here.

I dont know..Bahamian kid..he could of been home for the summer. Im bahamian so would know that would be his time to go home a bit b4 coming back for school.

The other Bahamian kid Michael Cartwright made it to Paradise..but he committed to Indiana yesterday. Bahamian kids for the most part are UM fans..Since we get the same local cable channels as south florida..if they are into football they watch alot of Canes games like i did as a kid living there.

They are getting better as far as on some islands they play flag football (abaco/freeport)_..but if they ever got the set up like Samoa does...there will be legit a whole bunch of div 1 recruits coming out of the bahamas. There are freakish kids just walking around there that never lifted a weight or ran. Deandre Ayton #1 nba draft pick was just a kid walking around in the bahamas not playing bball till he was in his teens. lol

Our team typically has a bahamian american EVERY year. Greats were (Santana Moss and brother, Frank Gore, Vernon Carey, Phil Dorsett.) Currently on team Patrick Bethel, Robert Knowles,

They don’t exactly hand out “how to please a college football staff” panflets as you get off the boat. This kid has been in the US let alone football for what 9 months. Unless someone tells or physically drives this kid to the campus he might have no clue what he’s “supposed to be doing.”

Excuse

Hope on the Train get off at the Grove, text a current player to come and pick you up. Problem solved

Problems just began, because that is a impermissible benefit according to the NCAA to provide transportation to a school for a recruit not on a official visit.

Go Canes

It's not if a player picks him up

Gilbert Frierson, Jhavonte Dean & the Cooney family are all Bahamians as well, Antrel Rolle too.

Yes it is unless the current player had a long relationship with the recruit prior to that player enrolling at Miami.

Schools do it all the time. Who do you think picks up kids from the Airport on these Unofficial visits? They cant rent a car and not many schools are within walking distance.

Also what is a long standing relationship according to the NCAA. Ill tell you what schools do, They get a kid from the area or even better yet the same HS. There goes your long standing argument. Plus I am sure there is shuttle buses from Coconut Grove to Campus also. Like I said, there is no excuse for a Dade County kid to find a way to campus. None. Also Paradise was $60, you mean this kid couldnt find a part time job to pull together the $60 for the camp. Too much excuses for a kid who I honestly feel is not taking his commitment serious

Yes sir. Plus my man been here for a year, went to Norland, now going to Doral Academy. Bet you he only knows about 15 sq blocks of Dade county in Carol City and now Doral.

If that is the case that is pathetic on his part. Dude needs to get out and explore the city.

Not getting a ride in south florida is inexcusable. No way the coaches couldn't call around and find someone another high school player coming from the same area that wouldn't mind giving the man a lift. Irvins has repeatedly said he doesn't expect him in the class. I honestly don't even count him as a commit anymore unless something changes.

You can't work off campus on F1 Visa and since he is on high school that means no work for Daxon. An since he has only been in the US less than 12 month whom at Miami could he claim to have a previous relationship with?

Go Canes

I hear rumors this kid is in the mass exodus from Doral and he went to Carol City. Not sure if anyone knows but that’s what I heard through the grapevine.
