Dent slips up

All this will take is one investigative reporter to get the itch. I see a 30 for 30 opportunity.
nobody wants to investigate it because it takes down the whole game. We got taken down because Shapiro went rogue and because the story was ****. nobody gave a **** that we were paying kids. they cared about the strippers and abortions. That's what made the headlines and had the bible belt clutching their pearls. They were laughing at the amount of money Shaprio claimed he was giving kids because it was pennies compared to what they were paying.

Because Miami was NEVER built by 5 stars. Miami was built by high 3 stars and 4 stars from South Florida, Florida, and several other pieces from other states. Not to mention, last year we hit on many elite players. 2020 looks the same. Recruit and develop athletes who are dogs and have a chip on their shoulders.
If only clowns recognized this

While I agree with you, times have changed. We're not going to get away with that so easily anymore when other teams have similar and or better resources. Difference back then was teams couldn't out-athlete us, now they're cherry-picking the top kids down here PLUS the top-kids in other states.

If South Florida is weak or doesn't have a bunch of talent then our recruiting going to suffer, see current class. 2020 is strong because SF is strong. The staff has to find a way to adapt to the current climate so that when Florida has a down cycle or kids are looking elsewhere, it still doesnt hurt the outlook of the team.

First of all, South Florida rarely has a down year. Second of all, have you seen how our recruiting classes (including 2019) has improved compared to the Golden and Shannon regimes? The staff is doing a phenomenal job considering they are at a disadvantage. Idk what else you think our staff needs to do but if you’re suggesting bags that ain’t happening. Miami can still win. We were one game away from playing in the playoffs in year 3 of Richt. Miami will be loaded in 19’ and 20’. Facts don’t support your theory.

To be fair, you have no idea how you would react to the offers these kids are getting. Georgia and Bama are outbidding each other and are offering rates we probably couldn’t imagine for these kids. Worst part is the NCAA isn’t doing anything.

Alabama, Georgia, and Clemson are the axis of evil bag-men. Saban and two Saban disciples.

The NCAA needs to hire a full-time staff to just drive up and down the I-20/I-85 corridor. Target-rich environment.

Miami can’t compete with bags, that is a fact.

So how do you counter the bags:

1. Make the bag schools fight like **** to recruit those players (driving up the cost). In the end the bag school gets the elite player but also the elite ego as well.

2. Be the best **** evaluators out there. There’s talented players everywhere, especially SF. Find them and get them.

3. Have a coaching staff that can truly develop players. Those 3 stars will catch up the “elite” recruits.

4. Have a great Xs and Os scheme that fit what you have in terms of players.

^ that is how we have won ships in the past and it’s how we will have to in the future.

In terms of needs, OL and DL, South Florida is down this year. No doubt that the staff is doing a phenomenal job but they're struggling this cycle and if we dont hit on those mentioned needs, our 2019 and 2020 teams are going to struggle as well. We can definitely win. I dont think anyone is doubting that.

And I'm not suggesting bags. I'm actually opposed to it unless a kid is dirt poor.

What about Ohio State? They have to be part of the axis of evil!!!

Lucky for ya skill positions (RB,WRs, DBs) grow like weeds here find ones that will fit your system and want to be canes and let’s rock n roll

You need IRS involvement.

The Foundations are too sophisticated.

Sam Jankovich said the same thing over 30 years ago when we lost a top prospect to another school. I'm still waiting.

They'd much rather harass smaller taxpayers who fall on hard times because they're easier prey. A friend who used to work in IRS collections told me they preferred to go after small taxpayers because it had a deterrent effect on other small taxpayers.

It would have to be the DOJ/FBI, just like college basketball. You're right IRS would never do it on its own.

Bribery, wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy are all charges they could nail the schools and boosters on
Who are they bribing?

FSU Reporter: So coach, how did secure Dent’s recruitment so fast?

Willie: Well I threw da bag out there and said “Do Sumthin Dent,”then I reeled his simple *** in.

The pick 1 celebrity a year. Burt Reynolds, Willie Nelso, the guy in the Blade movies, etc...

Am convinced that basketball was the precursor.
