Demetrius Henry on visit

Rising program...Great education....great coach....great game day atmosphere.....great location....and for FL recruits we are closer for there family to watch then up north schools.....What else does a recruit not see in this program??

Frank Martin has always recruited well and with the Team Breakdown connection we were always running 2nd

Problem is, we are not a winning program for the majority of this kid's life. Those last 3 months of the season are going to open some eyes, but not everybody's.

i get martin recruits so fla well with his dirty connections (guy is just plain dirty), but how is south carolina a winning program. ****, unless ur going to UK or UF dont even go to the SEC for bball. ACC hoops is gonna be the cream of the crop again next year

I agree that SC is not a winning program. Just saying some people still view us pre 2012-2013 season until we become more consistent

And they will always be waaaayyyy behind Kentucky and Florida and may not even be second tier SEC programs like Arkansas and LSU and Missouri. Head scratching.

Again, Im not saying SC is a winning program. Im saying its not as easy as many think it is to sell recruits/families on UM being a winning program as some may think.

Agreed... I think what stings is the fact that we lost a kid from our backyard to a school that has little to no success in SEC basketball. If S. Carolina was still in the ACC, then yeah I could understand because they were very successful back in the day in the old ACC. Yes, Frank is going to turn it around there like he did at Kansas St., but it terms of coaching, integrity, like-ability, father-life qualities, life-time mentoring, etc., Coach L has Martin beat on so many levels... With all that said, I still wish Demetrius the best.

It's not like Martin worked wonders at K-State that had never been done before. This is a program that 23 NCAA appearances, 15 Sweet 16s, 11 Elite 8s, 4 Final 4s, a National Runner-Up, and 26 Conference titles before Martin became coach.

Didn't I try telling you guys like a month and a half ago about this....it was done deal back then.

Henry played HS for a Gillion, plays AAU for Kenny Gillion(brother of HS coach) then prepped at AAU coach Prep School. Guess who is on Kansas State staff? A former Breakdown assistant.

Kenny takes care of all his guys. You factor that with Frank being VERY VERY well respected down here, it was done a long time ago.
