Demetres Samuel Jr is a Top 80 recruit in the 26 cycle and is rocketing up the recruiting rankings. Offered this week and is currently committed to Syracuse

Write up from @Memnon over in the 26 CB board

6'2 180lbs (future 4-star) ATH out of Palm Bay, goes to Heritage HS.

Dual sport athlete that plays Football & Basketball.

Two-way player that plays WR, RB, CB & Safety, but projects best as a CB on the next level.

Had a good Sophomore season with 20tks & 5INT's.

Long armed rangy ATH with good speed. Ran a 10.52 in the 100m back in February.

Committed to Syracuse a few days ago, but has received recent offers from UF & FSU & Nebraska. His recruitment is picking up some steam over the Spring due to his upside.

He visited Miami last year during the Summer & is from the same area as Chase Smith, so there's connection for us.

- “It was awesome, and Coach Jackson is always going to welcome me here,” Samuel told CaneSport. “Since I’m only two hours away, we’re going to be here a lot more.”

- “They try to make it feel like home,” Samuel said. “Coach Jackson tries his best to show me hospitality here. It’s The U, so everybody loves it, and it’s the 305.”

- “My mom is from Miami, so she really loves it,” Samuel said. “This is their first time here, and I’m hearing pretty good things from them as well.”

This kid ain't signing with Cuse.

Maybe Miami, maybe UF, maybe FSU, or somewhere, but it **** sure ain't gonna be Syracuse.
I’m Colonel Klink when it comes to this recruitment but my gut says he’s a good guy when the smoke clears. Early PT, a real CB coach, local family ties and NIL make me think he’s gonna be a Cane…

I agree but have to go after them before you sign them, especially considering this kid is a '26 kid.
✅
We need to do more than just go after them, we need to fvckin sign em.

I’d continue to recruit tf out of the Currie kid that verballed to TAMU. Knowing how relentless this staff is, they probably are.
