Va Tech bound or a school like Texas State. Depends on if the kid is still living in the world of being a 4* recruit....hope he isn't because that's how so many kids wind up stuck in the portal web.

If he's smart and has a good support system, he'll go to the first G5 school offering a full ride and the ability to compete. You can make it to the NFL from the G5 just like you can from a major P5 school. You don't get the glitz and glamour of the P5 schollie but in the end it's all the same.....college degree and a shot at the pros.

If he wants to go back Texas, North Texas would be a good spot for him too.

AZ ST could work as well, their new OC Glenn Thomas was OC at Temple when PJ Walker was their QB & he did well with him in that system. Davis is a similar QB to Walker, he’s much smaller but they have a similar play style.

Lashlee could make it work with nearly any QB, but with Preston Stone set to take over Davis wouldn’t see the field.

Plus, Lash’s system works best with a QB with more arm talent like he had with Buechele or TVD.

He works best with gunslingers, plus he can always snatch a kid out the Portal in the coming seasons because his offense will make SMU a QB destination spot for Power-arm Portal QB’s looking to start right away.

VA Tech picked up Grant Wells from Marshall out of the Portal this year.

Davis was committed to Va Tech when Fuente & Cornelsen was still there...

Idk if he fits with what Brent Pry & Tyler Bowen like to do as an offense.

But it could still be an option for him, we’ll see.
