Deion back to FSU?

Not everyone has an Emory Williams in the wings. Will Miami go back to the 12-13 team we were pre-Cam?

Check back this time next year. See if you feel the same.
They will be quiet if it doesn’t work. There isn’t an example of this roster management method working long term. We’ve seen programs try this method and the end result isn’t good. You can’t build a sustainable program this way, it’s never been done and likely for good reason.
FSU bringing in an alum to save their program based off of some debatable results elsewhere because he’s gonna light it up on the recruiting trail?

Except Mario had legitimate P5 success. One can even argue that Mario winning anything at FIU showed that he has a semblance of skill.

Don’t ya just hate ironic comparisons? Anyway, FSU would have to do something big and bombastic after this years disaster. Nothing bigger and more bombastic than Neon Deion and his Prime Time side show. Greatest Show on Earth,.. for a year or two, then it’s another dumpster fire. So yeah come on then. Good for FSU, ACC, better for us.

This board’s psychology is so interesting and predictable. Deion to FSU is your fear, and the man lives rent free. Deion takes over CU, a school who hasn’t been relevant since Kordell Stewart (half you will need to Google him), no recruiting base worth a ****, and quite honestly where his “brand” probably has the least value in the whole country. Predictably, you attribute every single thing he does well to his sperm playing QB and nothing to the fact he has a pretty good staff and they’ve been playing better as the season goes on as opposed to, well, you know. So hang onto whatever recruiting ranking you want, but if you don’t think the man would attract a lot more talent at FSU, you’re going to have a long few years if he goes there.

You sure do a lot of white knighting for Deion Sanders.

I'll also add Sonny Dykes at TCU. Went from 5-7 to 13-2, back to 5-7.
Every "Flavor of the Week" that is crowned by our fans ends up going right back to being mediocre. Mark Stoops, Kirk Ferentz, Pat Hill. They were all the next national title coach at Miami if we would just hire them.

I know, right? If I didn't know better, I'd think this place was largely FSU and Gator trolls who know their own fan sites are ignorant about football.

Oh well, back to work.

I know our fans are in a bad way this week but I’m not one of them. I’m loving every single moment of this year especially that FSU is such an epic failure along with us being 9-1

I just like joking around and this would be another huge failure for them to have to fire Norvell

If any one of our fans doesn't think that every school in the state's fans wouldn't trade their left nut to be in our shoes at this exact moment, they're idiots.

We're in the same exact boat. The Ga Tech game was a big letdown but I'm over that. This season been 10x better then what I've experience in the last 7 years. Even 2020 8-3 team I wasn't into that season cause of the covid year

Actually, CU was a relevant program back in the early 2000s under Gary Barnett. CU has always recruited Cali well, more so in their good eras, especially if USC is down. They also have a fair amount of pull in places like Texas. It’s beyond obvious that you don’t pay attention, or you would know these things.

We get it, you don’t care what facts and precedents are out there, you are going to ride for Deion, but the rest of us know a con when we see one.

Deion's ultimate test will be next year after his golden geese leave. Early Signing Day is next month and Deion only has 10 kids committed to Colorado so, they're obviously going to need another massive portal infusion. Massive respect to him if he stays, period. But I'll be more impressed if Deion stays and puts together another winning season in that context.

He knows his stock is high right now, but he also knows that it won't remain high for long if he can't win without the couple key players who've been with him for three years. I'll be surprised if he doesn't protect his current success and bounce before he has to prove himself.

Staying after Sanders and Hunter are gone will be like Mayweather fighting Pacquiao in his prime: its something that he as a business guy knows better than to do.
