Deerfield Beach Bucks 6 - STA 3

There's a ton of parody this year in South FLA high school football.

Piper is undefeated.
McArthur was undefeated and then lost to West Broward this past week. (West Broward lol)
STA lost to Deerfield.
Coconut Creek has 3 Army All Americans and will fail to make the play-offs.
South Plantation beat Flanagan.
Miramar sucks.
Cypress Bay is struggling.


And that's just Broward.

What happened was, STA took the 5 yards and automatic first down. Gave them first and goal but they couldn't punch it in.

I was there too. On Deerfield beach sideline where I played all 4 years. Derrick Crudup (Um) & Brent Schaeffer (UT/Ole Miss) were my Qbs.

The play you're talking about happened that same drive yes but not on the game ending fg attempt. It was plays early. That final play the Bucks called a Timeout to ice the kicker. The penalty was 4 plays prior.

#14 from Deerfield was called offsides. Sta took the 5 yard penalty instead of the made fg which gave them the ball 1st and goal w just over a minute and some change left. The play was actually called dead before the kick was even off but they still have STA the option.

You're right except the penalty wasn't enough for a 1st down. I just watched it again. It was still 4th down. Anyway hats off to DB again.

CREEK BOYZ...lol..7 on 7....social media iwinners that team lol.

I dont know how my alma mater lost to west broward of all teams....and Miramar is getting waxed all over the place...with legit athletes....

Yea stuff is turned upside down....MNW just beat Booker t too in dade.

The county is very "top heavy" this year.

They are top heavy with talent but if anything this has shown this year anything but that. Anyone can win it this year in any district, any region

I don't know about all that.

Western and Everglades have absolutely zero chance to win their district. That district is brutal.

The district with McCarthur, Nova, South Broward, Cooper City and Hollywood Hills is a joke. However, I will say that it should be competitive as most of those teams are on a level playing field.

What we're referring to when we say "top heavy" is...it seems like all the talent is at a handful of schools. Certain schools have a monopoly on all of the talent, more-so than ever before. All of the talent in Broward is at Flanagan, Creek, Hallandale, STA, Deerfield and Heritage. Everybody else is extremely bare and simply have zero chance to matchup against these teams. The main reason for this situation is the 7-on-7 (camp) circuit. These street "coaches" are killing some of the local programs and sending good kids to their homeboy's school. Everglades, Western, Piper, South Broward and even Hills are just some programs off the top of my head that should have at least a couple D-1 guys on their squad. Even Cypress Bay is fairly bare right now and they've had D-1 kids every year since Coach G got there. I'm still involved with Western's program (to some capacity) and although that school has never been a hub for D-1 talent it's never been as bare as it currently is, at least not on the defensive side of the ball. (they have a 10th grader on offense who already has D-1 offers) Even West Broward had a D-1 kid or two not long ago.

Righ now it seems like it's the HAVE's and HAVE NOT's.
