He did attend JUCO and played. He got hurt. He also went to class. He does not need a waiver.

Following his dismissal from Iowa, Johnson attended Ellsworth Community College. He played in three games and rushed for 338 yards before suffering a season-ending injury.

According to 247Sports, Johnson hopes to earn a full scholarship from Miami this fall.
He has two years of eligibility left.

You enlightened me --- now I hope I can do the same for others.
Now, if he did not complete 2 full-time semesters at Ellsworth, he will still require a waiver to be eligible to play this year.

Edit: I would prefer some "name brand" porsters if possible.
