Yes, but obviously things have changed. And 5X tried to call this guy out on it, even infered that he could be DBC, but he was dead fuggin wrong. You guys are killin me here. There is crow left on the table for him to pick up later.

Personally, I like Senat, if not for a sheer strenght point.... From what I have read on him there aren't many kids in the State of Florida as strong as him.....

My question to you is how do compare Senat to Josh Holmes former Cane DT who had about the same measurables......

unless something's changed, he isn't coming for an OV and he hasn't heard from UM in months. hasnt been recruited by UM. i'm pretty sure fsu isn't recruiting at all either. fsu isn't in the lead and UM isn't 2nd.
UM coaches aren't in regular contact with him and if they attended a game, it was in sept and if recently, it wasn't to see him.

First of all I am not DBC.

I provided a summary of a premium article that is currently on the front page of canesport, so the information is current.

Below is a quote from Senat so it appears coaches attended a recent game and not one in Septmeber. According to the article he also has qualifying ACT score and is set for college.

"Miami coaches were at my last game ... so was (former Cane) Edgerrin James," Senat said. "Miami, I'll definitely visit there officially. I'm also going to go to a basketball game, chill with the coaches."

Senat is a better player than Ivery or Moore, and if we had to take him as a plan B/C, then that's fine. Now hopefully he's not the best DT in the class, but he's not a good pickup.

Immokalee has a lot of talented players so of course there was a lot of scouts and coaches at the game.

My understanding is that Senat has insane weight room numbers but as mentioned, he's got sort of an dinosaur build. I remember seeing the guy who holds (held?) the world bench press record for 142 lb-ers. He benched like 435lbs or something. Dude had a massive chest and itty-bitty arms, thus making it easier to bench. Offbeat analogy but it brings into play some of what the UM coaches are concerned about regarding Senat. He'll always look dominant in HS because he's just that much stronger than other kids. At the D1 level, not so much. Technique and physique are of high importance as well.

That said, even if the kid is a plan B option, that fact that UM coaches are back in touch with him tells me they are now looking at plan B kids at DT. At a minimum, I think Senat would be an asset to the program in the weight room. There's clearly no lack of work-ethic on the young man's part. Something to be said for that.

Actually, not to defend 5X, but you don't know if he was wrong or right. You are taking some info from Canesport that is basically taking the word of Senat and acting like it's gospel. This kid has a history of exagerating the interest teams have....like when he tried to commit to FSU and they lol'd.

I still feel the same way I did 6 months ago about Senat. With Moore and Ivery already on the roster I don't see a need for him. We need more disruptive, taller guys like Bryant and Bostwick, not more shorter squatty guys.
