Deadrin Senat from Immokalee

Peter, Whats the latest with Deadrin Senat from Immokalee? I know he decomitted from FSU and we need DT's. Is he going going to take an OV to Miami? Is coach Golden scheduled to do an in home visit with him? TIA

According to Rivals he is going to take a OV to UM. He is also going to try to also make it to campus for a basketball game.

FSU leads and UM is running 2nd with USF.

The UM coaches are in regular contact with him and attended one of his recent games.
 
A while back I read that staff was concerned with his height being just about 6ft and that he had shorter arms which will affect his ability to disengage from Olinemen especially in the read and react scheme Coach D is trying to run here. But the major issue I believe were his grades, which we all know have ruined many a UM recruits chances, which is a shame because Senat could really benefit from AG's structure and UM's small class size. But lets see what happens.

redmen is dbc? another guy who just reads the rivals or scout database.
unless something's changed, he isn't coming for an OV and he hasn't heard from UM in months. hasnt been recruited by UM. i'm pretty sure fsu isn't recruiting at all either. fsu isn't in the lead and UM isn't 2nd.

Actually Canesports on rivals just did a story about how UM coaches reached out to Senat, so go figure!

First of all I am not DBC.

I provided a summary of a premium article that is currently on the front page of canesport, so the information is current.

Below is a quote from Senat so it appears coaches attended a recent game and not one in Septmeber. According to the article he also has qualifying ACT score and is set for college.

"Miami coaches were at my last game ... so was (former Cane) Edgerrin James," Senat said. "Miami, I'll definitely visit there officially. I'm also going to go to a basketball game, chill with the coaches."

if that's true, and i don't subscribe to canesport, that's new. if that's true and plays out that way, we stuck out on a bunch of guys. he wasn't being recruited by UM.

i felt good w/ my info and sources and felt i was right at the time. so, i wasn't wrong.
 
Senat is 5'10"

FSU and Miami are both slow playing the kid to the point that it seems Miami has him as a pla n D kid
 
exactly. UM hasn't been mentioned w/ the kid in months. we'll see if he makes his OV here. my guess is no. and if he does, it means we didn't get hooks, bostwick, bryant and others and we are in big trouble at dt.

this isn't the WEZ, if you don't have something constructive to contribute STFU.

In regards to coaches being at his last game that may have something to do with it being here in Miami, and watching a certain QB from Jackson. That doesn't mean anything. This kid pumped up the interest everyone had on him in the summer also. I would take anything that he is saying as suspect until proven otherwise. Canesport is just printing what he tells them is going on.

All he said was the UM corches were at his last game. Doesn't that Alexander kid play on the same team he does. Perhaps they weren't there to see Senot.

I have to agree w/ 5X on this.... I remember reading numerous postings from Pete about how the coaches backed off of him
 
what al and chise said. big deal, they were at his game. could be looking at jrs, sophs, etc. means nothing. if he makes an OV here, then we can start talking.
otherwise, i don't think its fsu 1st and UM 2nd. he doesn't have an offer from either or else he'd already be committed to one of them.

No offense but Canesport is a joke and it only ups the ante this time of year. Maybe we are recruiting him, probably not, but either way those clowns can kick rocks over there.

I definitely think Senat is a plan B/C player.

However, the article did say more than the UM coaches were at his last game.

I got the impression that we are actively recruiting him, but not putting the full court press on like we would for plan A kids.
 
Senat is a better player than Ivery or Moore, and if we had to take him as a plan B/C, then that's fine. Now hopefully he's not the best DT in the class, but he's not a good pickup.
