DE commit Garvin excited about 2017 class

Need him on campus as soon as possible with the attrition we are sustaining on the DL. Our next wave of pass rushers (Jackson, Bethel, Garvin, Johnson) is going to be even better than the current one.

I agree. It's very annoying when some posters bring up lack of depth at a certain position, then the other side of the fence comes on and mentions that our starters are among the best in the nation and we'll be fine; completely ignoring that injuries are a thing that happens in football. But getting Garvin here, whom looks to be severely underrated as an EE would be HUGE.

Ill say this...if you are a DE, DT, LB..**** any position on the defense and you arent excited about how this staff can develop you and make you look like stud then to **** with you. There shouldnt be one defensive player looking to jump ship based off what they have seen. We have literally transformed guys like Norton, McIntosh, CThomas and Elder into legit 1st-2nd round talents in a years time. And thats not even getting to the freshmen.

Now offensively? Thats a different story.

That is actually one position I'm really excited for the depth at. No one will be on the field as long as the returners can stay out of trouble/the trainers room over the summer. Chad/Djax, JJ/Bethel, and DJ/Garvin is a small army of monsters. Plus whatever we end up getting out of Trent Harris (which could be a lot if he can manage to stay healthy). By the way is it me or does it feel like Trent has been at Miami for like 10 years?

I actually wish we'd be greedy and load up at there and take Jordan Wright and go hard after Carney, too. Would love another D-Tackle as well.

Trent Harris looks like a Dallas Cowboy DL guy, not the best but Rod Marinelli would have him playing full go all game and not giving up. Kid has a high motor

With a great DL and our linebackers being in their second year, we should be able to cover up our weakness at secondary next year. Were gonna be playing a bunch of first and second year players back there

Carney would get ZERO PT here. He isnt on the level of DJ or Garvin let alone take any minutes from JJ or Bethel.

Wright is a better athlete and has more upside but he wants to be Julius Peppers and wont consider any school that wont give him that chance. (Bball/Fball star)

I believe Jennings Jr. will ball here, its awesome we stole two FSU legacies for 2017, this will be a special class

As I've been saying quite a bit recently in the recruiting forum: Lie to him. Tell him what he wants to hear. Figure out the rest later.

Not that high on Carney? I agree, he's not elite, but he's no bum. He'd be nice practice squad depth, and isn't the worse prospect to have if you're running thin like we were for V-Tech.
 
Garvin Hall may not be the most important prospect in this class. But he's my favorite as I think his potential is unreal.
