FWIW I've had multiple former coaches of Brini tell me that he is not a great prospect. Length, yes. But not the speed most think and lacks physicality.
Is UM looking at any pure cb who are uncommitted and not too raw, that you can mention?
Doesn't work like that. Look at the NFL. Richard Sherman was a lightly recruited kid out of Compton who wound up at Stanford and got drafted in the 5th round. Josh Norman didn't even play division one football. Point is, you really have to develop kids at this position.
I think we end up with Brini in this class . Stupid not to get him if he doesn't make it at CB move him to safety . We need safeties who can actually cover too
See i have a issue with that, i want playmakers on the roster not filler players, give me legit safeties
I think Bandy isHonestly, I'm not particularly impressed with any of these guys. Edwards is probably my favorite, but it's a lukewarm favorite.
I think Deejay Dallas is the best db in the class no matter who we get
I agree!
I also think Bandy is. I was not including our current commits. I put Bandy over Dallas just because I have not seen Dallas actually play CB on tape, he looks athletic, but I'm not going to say he is a better DB than Bandy when I have not seen him play it.
I just like how fast bandy is and how he plays the ball . He's jumping the ball I hope we have one on each side with Dallas and bandyI think Bandy isI think Deejay Dallas is the best db in the class no matter who we get

Elder didn't play corner in highschool but is still better than most who did. Dallas has that same playmaking talent except he has the perfect size you want in a corner.
Never liked brini from the start, found it odd that he never went to camps, this local DB class is really weak IMO, the two best are samuels and bandy, next year though is the deepest i have seen in awhile

Brini reminds me of the dude with the miniscule weener who never showered after gym class. He refused to participate at camps or run a 40. He's hiding.
mY favs are Edwards and Collier.
Ima fan of Collier...played a lot of offense, and qb.
Edwards has played cb for about 4 years...and is plus size and battle tested having gone against miramar's div 1 wrs in practice..and the div 1 wrs on their schedule yearly (IMG,Dillard,Sta, Deerfield)

I'd rank the remaining DB targets for Miami like this:
1. Brian Edwards #3
2. Marco Wilson
3. Antwan Collier #4
4. CJ Henderson #1
5. Latavious Brini
What's your rationale? From what I've read on the board, I get the sense that it's something more like what I have (See above). Any rationale for your ranking i.e. depth, skill set, immediate needs, etc.?
So he's slow and instead of making up for lack of speed with some physicality... he's not tough and physical?
