Trolling again but man last year was way more fun at this stage. You’d be a fool to bet against Mario in recruiting but the warning signs are there. D-line class will tell us all we need to know about where our recruiting stands.

Doesn't change the fact that some only show up when we miss and are nowhere to be found when we don't. I can respect someone that is fair and shows up for both. SOME are very loud when we miss ajd beyond obvious in their absence when we don't. It says something about those folks I think.

I get it. But if this is not your first year following recruiting then you(not you personally) should know better. This is like the norm. Feel good about a recruit days before announcement, heat turns up, panic starts....

Correct! Players are very excited for this upcoming season. The energy in the program hasn't been this good in years. I'm very optimistic.

Nah. It's not. You can take your reality checks now or later. When Herbstreit called out UM, it finally shamed the people in charge enough that they claimed they were going to change course and massively invest in sports. They then tried to pacifiy the critics by hiring Cristobal and paying him a big salary. They hired a "recruiter" coach but haven't given him the NIL money he needs to compete with the Bamas and Oklahomas. We've known that to overcome 5-7, UM was going to need to significantly outbid other schools (see TAMU as an example) It doesn't look like that's happening. And in other sports, we've seen similar lies about investing, like hiring JD Arteaga.

Cristobal needs more NIL money if he is going to succeed. The faster the fans stop believing in magic beans and magic recruiters, and start telling the people in charge that we aren't buying their lies about massive investments in the program, the faster Cristobal will be able to get the program on track.

If UM doesn't have more NIL money, then fans need to accept we hired the wrong coach - should have hired a scheme based coach to get the most out of the limited talent. Hiring a recruiter coach without the money to get top 10 classes regardless of record is 100% going to fail because failure has compound interest. It's a black and white choice. Give Cristobal more money than any other program to get recruits or get a different coach.

Staff is getting hustled. Also kids are just using Miami to get larger NIL from the schools they REALLY want to go to

& for all the talk about whether Ruiz is or isnt contributing to NIL this year this is his biggest negative impact this year IMO. his big attention grabbing mouth put the target on Miami for NIL. rather than move in silence, kids & their agents are using us to get what they want from the school they really wanna go to

Eh.. the theme of this recruiting cycle has been A lot of this sub tweeting and how National writers are wrong just for the same result but with a staff being paid a lot to do their job.

WC is a big tech community. i have a lady that lives in Wesley Chapel and anytime you go to the Publix up there is about 65% Indian/asian and a dozen women in burkas every single trip....yes lots of folks but not sure that is the demographic that drives an hour to a MLB game

Again it’s not really about the fact we missed on this specific kid. It’s that we 1) have missed on 3 out of the last 4 commits where the “staff felt good,” meaning we are being lied to or we are naive (or both) and 2) we are not closing the gap on what is very clearly a troubling trend and below average class for what we are paying Mario to achieve. We can’t add another player out of the top 1000 and then whiff on the big recruit. That’s how you end up sucking and lighting candles while you pray for 10 wins and flips.

Why are you upset about someone pointing out that certain posters only show up when we miss and are absolutely missing when we don't?
I mean unless you are a troll that should bother you as well regardless if you are critical of the staff or not.
