Davon Johnson should be starting

He needs to a be a primary WR

Not just slot. He is making people look foolish on his routes

Don't forget about Hurns, he was our best WR before injury. He didn't do much on Saturday, but I expect him to improve as time goes by

Agreed. He should get way more reps than Scott, who seems to have buttered up fingers. Rashawn has more big play ability, but Davon seems like he is waaaayyyyy more dependable.

If you put him on the outside, he may not be as effective. Keep him in the slot. He has a knack for finding holes in a zone and making tough catches. If he makes Morris feel more comfortable finding the middle of the field, he's more valuable to our team inside than being given a "starter role" and being placed outside.

Yep. Morris seemed VERY comfortable with him on that last big drive.

Davon is earning his scholly this season

Amazing what a bit of coaching and conditioning can do for a 4 star prospect

SMH

scott needs to get on the Hank "learn to catch the ball" system.. i know morris throws hard.. but catch the **** ball.

Honestly he's always made these types of catches when given the chance. I think it was his freshman year he had a couple big games and caught a couple nice TDs against Duke.

Didn't he have a blown ACL or two? Anyway, the kid's hands have always been great and I'm glad he is getting a chance to show it.

Weird to think he was on the DB/STs track because the previous staff had given up on him and his hands. He looks great out there. Good size and tough. Hope he takes advantage of the opportunities this whole season.

I agree, keep him in the slot so he can work out in space and find the soft spots in the zone. It plays to his strengths better than the outside. We play a lot of 3 WR sets so he will get plenty of playing time. He definitely showed out on Saturday and needs some more burn. I trust scott and hurns on the outside more; they're mre likely to beat the press.

When its a low throw on a out or a in route this kid is money! He has made more tough catches down in the dirt then anyone else.
