Wise wordsThat makes zero sense. So does that five star that switched to JSU become unranked now?

So if you are ranked 26 and go to Miami you get a star removed but if you’re 25 and go to JSU no star removal?I guess if the player is a top 15 Top 25 player it doesn't matter where he ends up. His rating is so high that the assumption is he will still make it to the league.
This is my guess
I don't buy thst BS at all. The star system can't be based on a player getting to the NFL. 99% of college football players won't go to the NFL. So, that claim makes no sense. The recruits are evaluated on their measurables and performance. The projections to the NFL are based on the measurables. The reason why some of our blue chip recruits lose a star when they commit to Miami is bcuz we don't have a strong track record of putting players into the 1st round.
He said the star system is mainly based upon projections of whether the players will actually going into the league and has less to do with how good they are.
5 star players are projected to go 1st round, but if they choose a school like Miami, that projection changes due to our poor player development.
Can anyone more verify this? Is this legit?
I don't know man. I'm spit- balling about that.So if you are ranked 26 and go to Miami you get a star removed but if you’re 25 and go to JSU no star removal?
Ivins is a liar in his own words if you go by the NFL draft! The Canes are 3rd for most first round picks since 2000! Ohio State is 1st Alabama is 2nd! I just wish some of these guys would just be honest like Paul Finebaum and just say they don't like Miami!!!The reason why some of our blue chip recruits lose a star when they commit to Miami is bcuz we don't have a strong track record of putting players into the 1st round.

It's just a complete BS excuse because they won't say why their really doing it.So if you are ranked 26 and go to Miami you get a star removed but if you’re 25 and go to JSU no star removal?
i cannot more verify or even verify this. The reason why some of our blue chip recruits lose a star when they commit to Miami is bcuz we don't have a strong track record of putting players into the 1st round.

It's understandable but that's going to change in a few years. They have to trust the HC evalsThe reason why some of our blue chip recruits lose a star when they commit to Miami is bcuz we don't have a strong track record of putting players into the 1st round.

That makes zero sense. These aren't supposed to be ratings for programs, their ratings for players. I get your point here, but this isn't telling me how good the player is so much as how good he'll be at a specific school. And shouldn't they all get an extra star if they go to bama? The reason why some of our blue chip recruits lose a star when they commit to Miami is bcuz we don't have a strong track record of putting players into the 1st round.
