Darrell Streeter Said.... 🤔

Rivals used to inflate the rating of kids that committed to schools that had large subscriber bases (and generated them money.)

I don't believe 24/7 if they state that the rankings aren't impacted by $ somehow, and I don't believe the bull**** about kids getting boosted if they commit to a school because it increases the likelyhood that 'they will get developed.'

Like everything else college football, it's all about the $.

The reason why some of our blue chip recruits lose a star when they commit to Miami is bcuz we don't have a strong track record of putting players into the 1st round.
He said the star system is mainly based upon projections of whether the players will actually going into the league and has less to do with how good they are.

5 star players are projected to go 1st round, but if they choose a school like Miami, that projection changes due to our poor player development.

Can anyone more verify this? Is this legit?
I don't buy thst BS at all. The star system can't be based on a player getting to the NFL. 99% of college football players won't go to the NFL. So, that claim makes no sense. The recruits are evaluated on their measurables and performance. The projections to the NFL are based on the measurables.

Secondly, dropping a 5-star to a 4-star based on Miami's lack of development is total nonsense. What 5-star have we had that hasn't gone to the NFL? Conversely, our recent 5-star went in the 1st round (Jalen Phillips) and we developed a 3-star into a 1st round draft pick (Greg Rousseau). We also have the most active players from the ACC Into the NFL in the past 5 years. Yes, more than Clemson. Miami has 27 and Clemson has 25. So, we have more guys in the NFL who were rated lower than Clemson.
Thirdly, Miami has a new coach and doesn't even have the new staff in place. How could you lower a rating when you don't even know whose coaching the players?

So, this garbage is complete BS just to sway kids away from Miami.

Ivins is a liar in his own words if you go by the NFL draft! The Canes are 3rd for most first round picks since 2000! Ohio State is 1st Alabama is 2nd! I just wish some of these guys would just be honest like Paul Finebaum and just say they don't like Miami!!!

So if you are ranked 26 and go to Miami you get a star removed but if you’re 25 and go to JSU no star removal?
It's just a complete BS excuse because they won't say why their really doing it.

We're supposed to believe that the people evaluating players are also evaluating the programs they go to?

How do you compare all 128 FBS programs?

How do you keep up with all the coaching changes to evaluate who will be coaching the players?

What if a player transfers. Who gets credit for the player development.

I CALL OUT UTTER COMPLETE BULLSHYT!!!

i cannot more verify or even verify this.

Can you post a link or something that shows what Ivins specifically said. Thx

No idea if it's true but that's f'ed up. We just sent two first rounders in the league last year. Different sides of the ball but still. They are doing way too much if that's actually happening.

It's understandable but that's going to change in a few years. They have to trust the HC evals

That makes zero sense. These aren't supposed to be ratings for programs, their ratings for players. I get your point here, but this isn't telling me how good the player is so much as how good he'll be at a specific school. And shouldn't they all get an extra star if they go to bama?
