I've only seen a few minutes of Derrick Griffin at WR, but the few minutes of Mr Langham makes him look like the better WR.

Unlike most folks, I don't give a rats bahind what a kid is ranked... I won't do you the pleasure of posting both highlights for you. Go look at both yourself, and forget about what rivals or scout tells you to think.

You'll see awesome athletes, but one guy has potential as a WR catching jumpballs because he has a height advantage but still needs to learn the game, and another guy with explosion into his routes and excellent ball skills and an actual football IQ in Langham.

Lastly if you are unaware, Griffin was highly ranked as a TE, so my initial post was speaking to those that saw him as a WR instead

Idk about Rudolph but Dixon is all Miami.

If you played the game, or if your love for it took you to the place of studying the finer points of the game, you'd be able to look at film of two players, and recognize the strengths and weaknesess of both... They sure aren't identical.

But, in other words, your an average fan that doesn't see the diffrence between the two, all you know is they caught the ball.... yet for the sake of appearing like a football head, your disagreeing with my opinion for no "conclusive" reason (fair enough). LULZ !!

Its rare that you see a tall receiver with that kind of body control catching the ball and getting upfield after the catch. This is a natural WR and is gonna be a monster once he packs on a couple more pounds, great pickup by the staff.

Exactly, this isn't just a tall guy that can out jump smaller CB's (kind of like D. Griffin), this is a real WR prospect. He isn't as polished as Coley is across the board, but you can see that he has the same mindset, in attacking the ball, and this kid for his size, does indeed make a good effort to head upfield after the catch for more yardage.

He's def a leg up on Streeter in that category, because once Streeter caught the ball, he was as good as tackled; unless no one was in front of him.

One thing I always look for with WR prospects is how fluid they are from the point of going up to get the catch to gathering themselves and turning up field. Like dreadedlion said, it is all about body control and coordination. Some guys can have awesome measurables but be awkward and unnatural in this regard. Like a couple guys above me have alluded to, what impressed me most about Langham was how fluid he was from catch to running up field (it was one natural fluid motion rather than 2 or 3 individual actions one after the other). That is something that is very hard to teach. It's one of the things I loved about Lockhart (sad that he's off the team and I'm sure it's not because of talent) and is also very apparent with Coley.

Obviously it is not the only thing you need to be successful as a WR, but it is a trait that suggests the player is natural at the position. Add that to his awesome size and solid speed and this really is a great under-the-radar pickup
