When people start talking like this, it reminds me of the black knight scene in Monty Python. Our program is the black knight and Coker/Shannon/GoRlden is the white knight. With each appendage lopped off, our fan base just keeps on with the same mantra. "It'll get better" "It can't get any worse" "We're about to turn the corner", etc.

Next time some one says "But, we're the []_[]!" Remember this image:

Well I can blindly follow and think everything is fine, or I can understand the reality we're up against and what may lie ahead. It doesn't mean I don't hope for the best, but to simply ignore the state of the program is detrimental. You can accept mediocrity , but I have a problem with it.

You're not a real fan if you don't blindly follow. Even if that means offering unquestionable support to coaches who may actually be doing harm to a player's development and future NFL aspirations. But you've got to support! Oh, and hope! And believe!

This board is nothing if not overly dramatic. I've never seen such a desire to attack anything and everything about a program from many on this site. And please spare me the "I'm not going to accept mediocrity" line, it's well beyond that.
 
When we accept mediocrity and think its ok to give up 500 yards per game, and think you can use anything to excuse that at Miami is when the light will be gone. Other than that u keep trying to get it better and don't accept your destiny, you create it.

If your comprehension skills was any good. You would have understood the statement " when we accept giving up 500 yards" Is not the same as saying "We accepted giving up 500 yards". Talk about making up stuff and self serving. SMH. Im just gonna accept you couldnt identify the difference
 
Optimism is for the proud.

Reality is, we are ont he fringe of suck/mediocre. Closer to mediocre now, but for how long? The suck awaits.
