Saw him play as a sophomore and junior. He’s very solid

Also comes from a good program back on the rise after losing their all time winningest coach

Ya he had some big schools after him early. Had a significant injury his senior year which is why Tenn backed off. Seems like he would require a redshirt season.

If it weren't for ****** luck this could wouldn't have any....

Was it an ACL or something else as the recovery seems significant?

Seems like he could be a steal for us. Probably a redshirt candidate but that doesn’t bother me, talent is talent

Type of kid you can't help but root for. Lost his mother in a car accident in 2016, knee injury in 2017. Pulling for him regardless

Well if we do land him and I really wish we could, I have the perfect name for him.......Big Baby!

Imagine a 300 lbs baby face DT terrorizing QBs.

wasn't corn another one of those tennessee guys that signed post-NSD? Could be wrong, but it sets precedent

riverdale is a very good program in the best region for football in the state, and middle tennessee produces some very good (and often overlooked) players. worth at least taking a look at.

a solid guy coming off an injury? hard pass. You only take the elite talents who are coming off a senior year injury. no reason to waste time hoping a 3* guy can return to form when its already debatable whether that form is worthy enough to be playing at Miami.

We have not been having very good luck with guys injuried in senior year.

I think that might have been the case with Edgerrin James. Does anybody remember?

EDIT: I did some reading and Edge missed 5 games as a senior with dislocated elbow. Still made Parade All-American. I also found am old NYT article stating that Willis missed 5 games as a senior.

I don't know if there were many who missed entire senior year and came in to be successful. I think there might have some. I do know the TE from Oklahoma, Curtis Justus, ccame in with a knee injury but never made it back.

Waynmon Steed was injured his SR year and all reports are saying he should be a major contributor next season
Willis McGahee was injured his SR year
Jaquan Johnson was injured his SR year (that injury to JJ forced Sheldrick Redwine to play some safety that season at Jackson)
Mike Smith was injured his SR year he is now a solid contributor

As I noted above, the one unsuccessful case I remember was Curtis Justus, a stud TE from Oklahoma. I believe that was the year we got a two-headed monster at TE: Eric Winston and Curtis Justus. Winston ended up a OT. Justus came in with a knee injury. We honored his scholarship. He tried a comeback as a long snapper.

It really depends on the nature of the injury.
