This guy is legit and they were counting on him big for next year as a starter. Georgia rotated a lot and he was only a backup in the rotation but he still finished fourth on the team in sacks behind senior Chaz Chamblis and 1st rnd picks Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams. Nobody on the team had more than 6 sacks.

What was he graded? How many double teams did he face? How many pressures did he have? Sacks are not the end all, be all DL stat.

Two more things:

1. I’ll be the first one to admit he wasn’t as dominant, play to play, as he seemed in 2023. Could it have been an injury on the first series of the season that had him out for over a month and he never really gained his traction? Possibly. But bottom line, he was less impactful than his true freshman year.

2. None of this matters a lick to me, because the whole discussion you and I had centered on you being essentially indifferent if he transferred. Which is pure insanity. Any program in the country would take this kid in a nanosecond. Every single one. Miami’s roster is 100.0% worse without him on it than it is with him on it. So not caring (I don’t know exactly how you worded it but that was your sentiment) is ******* bonkers to me. We want this kid here.

Im sure he is one of it not the highest paid players on the team. You don't get to live of name recognition in a production based sport. I didn't say show him the door but I won't pretend he has a long established history. Maybe I'm crazy for thinking the best players should be held to a high standard. We aren't discussing Daylen Russell here.

I thought this kid was going to REALY good. Anyone who follows them know the beat with him?
