Might be smart because rb class is over loaded this yearLittle bit of smoke about him coming back. No shot Fletcher doesn’t see the field.
Martinez, Fletcher and Lyle is![]()
Do you see #28 Ajay getting much more opportunities next year specially if #6 comes back…I would LOVE to have this guy back. Make him an offer he can't refuse to stay another year. Him ajay and Lyle is ridiculous. Keep fletch as odd man out.

I’m guessing but I think AJ gone.If Martinez stays ajay will probably transfer but as much as I hate to say it I'd rather fletch transfer... mark is a good back and I'm rooting for him with all the **** he has had to deal with this year. Martinez, Lyle and Ajay is a versatile group and behind our OL would make a **** of a trio

Martinez in theory has another season of eligibility, if he is so inclined. Makes me wonder whether he wants to come back and be part of this. If he does want another go, get him the best insurance possible and pay him whatever he wants. Imagine Fletch, Martinez and Lyle again. That said, it's also very unlikely he comes back.
Miami Hurricanes running back Damien Martinez confirmed on social media that he will play in the Pop-Tarts Bowl against Iowa State on December 28th.
"Another chance to go 1-0 with my guys, 28th ready to hit the field again," Martinez posted on X earlier today.
Martinez has rushed for 823 yards this season, leading the Hurricanes in rushing on 145 attempts. He averages 5.7 yards per carry and scored nine touchdowns on the ground.
someone should remind him of what happened to McGahee in the Fiesta Bowl...
Imagine Emory DAW GAWD handing the ball off to him. Throwing check downs to him in the flats.Martinez in theory has another season of eligibility, if he is so inclined. ****! We now have young men that’s draft eligible playing in a meaningless bowl game…. and some whispers of some of those players possibly coming back for next year? Wow! Maybe it’s not a meaningless bowl game to them. Maybe they actually enjoy being a part of the program. Maybe this really is “The New Miami”. Maybe our culture is REALLY changing.Aye man, these boys understand the mission! Leaders! That’s what I like. Ain’t no ducking wreck at all!!!
Show them that it’s bigger than money, it’s for the pride and love of them Hurricanes!
