Just a reminder - there are ways to score points other than throwing td passes. It's actually quite pathetic, really.
For example. Miami's team record for TDs in a season is 31. Thirty, freaking one. That would have ranked 20th last season alone. Our all time best would have been tied for 20th place for ONE year. I can only imagine how low it is if compared to every other school's all time best. I'm guessing out of the top 100.

Just for a little perspective... When Rosier set the UM record, he still finished 22nd that year in TDs. Uggg.... Pathetic. Check out that link and change the year. Look at some of those numbers and ask yourself, "Why the **** can't a team like Miami, who should have no problem getting speed and scoring points, look so pathetic when it comes to scoring points?"
Despite our pathetic TD pass record, we managed to finish top 4 in the nation in scoring for 3 straight years... in this century (very early on in this century, I'll grant you that). The game has changed since then, sure, but you don't have to be Mike Leach to score a ton of points.
