Damien Martinez - I Apologize

Fletcher converted those fourth downs by a hair. šŸ˜‚

Most bounces and inches went our way yesterday. Not so sure on the calls this week. VT may need to halt their investigation.

I'll be the first to admit, I just hadn't seen the 'big deal' about him thru 6 games.

That all changed this week. It's amazing what competition will do to reignite a player!

He was brought for physical teams and tough runs in big games. Difficult to tackle 230 all game long it will wear you down. I have had no problem with him knowing he will show out vs fatigue eventually. I do not like small backs (pause) I want 215 or rather 220 plus that can zoom and run tough. If they are slow do not recruit them, if they got short area burst and can run away from people get them.

Nah nah nah, he sucks. Posters knew better than anyone else, he was a waste of precious resources, blah blah blah.

Yup. They were talking down Fletcher first, but after he showed out against Cal they wanted to release Martinez.

All I know - having 5 quality backs, with 2 being real change of pacers, in Lyles and Johnson, is a great problem to have.

I'd like to see some more creativity incorporated with Johnson and Lyles (toss plays) and some McCaffrey like looks in the passing game, but lots of season left.

Yesterday's game, to me, felt like the BEST mix of pass/run we have had all season. Glad to see it.

We'll need it as the weather begins to turn on some of these upcoming road games....

Riddle me this. Even before last game, were you ever worried with 6 in the game and it was 3rd or 4th and short? Same for short yardage goal line situations. No you were not. He has made that play 100% of time this year. When is the last time you could say that about a back that played here? Heā€™s a dawg man and anyone with half a brain saw that before last game.

He's like Damian Berry that one year in short yardage...

Also if you want a good laugh watch Elija Lofton coming out of the backfield as lead blocker absolutely destroying defensive backs and linebackers for the opposing defense...

LOL we have the #1 offense and now Martinez/Brown are starting to heat up.

our Top 2 RBs are both 6ā€™+ & 225 & 235 that wears out opponents DL/LBs

We then have 3 TEs all capable of stretching the field in Arroyo, Williams & Lofton

We then have 4 WRs In Restrepo, George, Horton and now Brown is coming alongā€¦

All with 2 of the best OTs in CFB & the best QB this university has hadā€¦..

Mike Ryan probably missed this and also restrepoā€™s big day when he was in the stands Cheering on kc Concepcionā€™s 4 catches for 53 yards yesterday
Mike Ryan said on the pod after the UF win that the first thought in his mind as the final second ticked off the clock was how much success was coming to the website as a result. The way he talks to Pete is ridiculous. I'd never heard of this guy and he comes on the first show acting like he's some kind of VIP cause he makes music for the LGBTQ community.

This is the part of the season where Miamiā€™s big backs will thrive. At this stage, teams are banged up and depth is depleted. Remember only the elite have the type of quality depth to sustain injuries in the from 7 and still field a high quality defense. I fully expect 175 - 200 team rushing yards in every games for the remainder of the regular season.
