@Dwinstitles Martinez is not opting out of the bowl. if we created a Chris Johnson appreciation thread it would have like 6-10 pages already.
Btw, Cam is talking about playing too.

Cam is making a killing and not just off Miami / Cames Connection so he should play. These guys are now making money and are pretty much employees so why shouldn’t they play ? This isn’t like it was before.
 
Wow, shocked to hear this. Love that he's playing.

I will say I've seen a few RB draft boards and he hasn't been in the top 10 on any of them. Would love to have him back another year if he thinks he could improve his draft but it's tough on RBs.

Feel like NIL deals could actually start making bowl games part of the contract since they're legit contracts going on now for big players like Cam.

Like why can't Bose or C4 or Aqua di Gio put a clause that basically says "as long as you're healthy you have to play"?

You can’t do outright pay for play even though that is of course what this all is

Would love Martinez to come back. If he doesn’t declare, there should be zero reason he portals out.

More/same money? Sure thing.
More carries? Will do
Tweak the run scheme? No problem

Do not let him portal out. He gives us a great chance to be competitive with our Oline. Make life much more certain for the new QB. Fletcher and Lyle can battle for the backup role (I think Lyle might win that battle).

Already announcing he's playing in the bowl game almost certainly means he's not portaling out. Why would he?

He's either coming back another year or going to the league.

He'll probably test his draft grade and decide from there.

I don’t know what else he has to prove. This draft is loaded with very good RBs tho.

There's probably a similar logic to not overpaying running backs in college as there is in NFL, when you have talent on the roster

I’m good with that decision. Pleasant surprise because I was told a few weeks ago he was 100000 percent gone at end of season.
 
There is a possibility Martinez returns, which would be massive.

If so, bye Fletcher.

(before anyone comes at my neck, there’s zero shot Lyle or Fletcher stay to be RB3, especially Fletcher in year 3).
