2025 Dallas Wilson now wants out NLI and wants to sign with IF

Hanks is the best cb in the state. Top 5 in the country. If he wasn’t around the corner from campus I would agree. UF was also imploding at one point. Mertz getting hurt killed is tbh. They are selling the dream with 2 and using Billy’s buyout to fund it. Smart tbh. Still think it blows up in their faces
Same. Btw hanks might be my fav recruit of anyone.

I mean it’s better than 7-5 and recruiting trust and hope for sure

Just knowing we witnessed and clowned first hand what happened with FSU

We aren’t nearly in that bad of shape don’t get me wrong just saying for context

I agree. Just got to hope we don't go that route.
I just think that part of the head wind we face in recruiting (not all just part) is that we just haven't been a consistent winning program in 20 years. There are programs we compete against in recruiting that are good for 9 to 10 wins yearly and always in contention. Us, on the other hand, you just never know from us year to year. If we could just somehow get to some level of consistency I have to believe that it would help.
I'm sure I'm being capitan obvious with this hot take lol

We'll see if they can invest at this level in the portal, too. They aren't winning more than 6-7 even if they land 1/2 of the Top 247 in the next 24 hours.

Selling Lagway as the best thing since Brady is wild, too.

Jackson Arnold behind a BAD-BAD OL and walk-on WR's had better numbers. OU is likely going portal for their QB.

Can also ask Miami how expensive it gets for the 2024 class and 2024 portal class.

And how even more expensive it will get for not making a conference championship game with the best QB and best offense in America.
I don't necessarily agree with that assessment minus the 2024 bit. It only goes up because someone else who is desperate is throwing the market off and the gap of what we offer versus what someone else offers is widened. See Cleveland Browns with Watson.

I get what you are saying and you aint wrong. But also, we gotta "win" something for more than one year and not have that one year look like every other year where we **** the bed at the end which is the last thing recruits see. And I know that everyone is going to say, UF is 6-5 and look how they are closing....recruits seem to only care about how it looks at the end and what looks like building vs falling apart yet again. We need to win something meaningful for 3-4 years. Its amazing that we can even get the classes we do with the product we've had going on 25 years and with the drop of in NFL talent versus what it was. Either we actually win something or its easy for other school to say its the same Miami as always. One year, and one that isn't ending so great, isn't enough it seems.
I am not questioning that, but whatever issues there were on defense were 100% wholly unrelated to a WR. Sure, Cam is leaving, but we are going to get a QB in the portal. And while I am not diminishing what Cam did, one downside to some of his highlight reel plays is the fact that the offense had guys running WIDE open through the year. And, by the way, none of the three top WRs were high 4 or 5 star recruits.

But yes, we need to win again and I would argue that next season is make or break for Mario here at UM.

At this point, might as well throw him a bag so it doesn’t look like we’re a punching bag for everyone.

Again, we haven’t landed a 5-star WR since 2004. 21 years. Would be nice to break a horrifying streak considering how many 5-star WRs have come from down South in the last 20 years.
