Can't wait for 17 more of these threads over the summer. He runs hard and finishes runs better than anyone on the team. Not a game breaker but he is just fine on offense.
Safety isn't happening.
I do believe, however, that he should move to slot receiver. That's his best position. He has played it some during spring and he looks great there. Cat-quick with excellent hands and instincts. He has the toughness to play inside.
Love what he's done for us this year but Golden will hopefully recruit better backs. And Crawford deserves to stay on the field in some capacity.
Respect your opinion if you don't think he could help secondary but slot...seems like we have plenty guys for that spot. Counting this incoming class. He's got no breakaway speed at running back that's for sure. Really good as a goal line back. Probably our best. Dukes good at goal line but takes some real shots.
The only guy I would call a true slot is Berrios, and he's not here yet.
Crawford is tough, very quick, has great hands and has a feel for the game-- all ideal traits for a slot receiver. His lack of height and speed doesn't hurt him in there because he is so quick.
Thankful for Crawford's play this year, stepping up when needed......but he has looked pretty bad for 2 weeks in a row. Any chance he is hiding an injury?
Against UVA I thought maybe it just wasn't his day, but he seemed lackluster against Pitt as well. Just no umph to most of his runs.
