Dallas Crawford?!?!?

With Alex Collins going to that OTHER school...some of the current guys (i.e. Dorsett, Chick, etc...) are saying on twitter that Crawford is the guy to fill the void. Could we be overlooking one of the guys on the current roster? Just a thought...

Nothing wrong with that. All he has to do is perform. Judging from his ability to play multiple positions on offense/defense, I'd say he has it in him.

Hopefully this Gus Edwards cat is worthy but if we get him plus Crawford, Dilliard and RL3 behind Duke, then that's alright for a year until Sony and/or Cook come.


We got Morris for one more season to sling it around and get over 400 yds a game. Worst case we do that and add in some Duke explosive plays in the running an dpassing game and all we need the other RB's for is to block and give Duke a breather here and there. Crawford does our Wildcat too so there's that as well.

He's a great athlete, let's see what he's got, I think he won't transfer now that Collins isn't coming

I know, people have already thrown him under the bus... I think he will be the person that will handle the ball more than crawford. He will be our #2 option at RB. He did have a neck injury though. I hope he recovers 100% and will be ready by spring so he doesn't get passed up. I'm all for Clements.

Isn't the issue with both that they are in that ~200lb range, and we are hoping for a big 220+ guy to be the bruiser compliment?

Clements and Crawford are good backs, but they are similar builds to Duke. My fear would be that all 3 wouldn't wear down a defense...
 
In my OPINION....Alex Collins is similar to Dillard, Clements, & Crawford in the aspect that they all are unproven on the collegiate level. Of course we would love to land a *5 star POTENTIAL stud, but we also must not discredit the guys on the current roster who have not had the chance to shine yet. I think the public outrage for Collins not picking us is actually going to fuel the current players and it's evident on twitter by the support Crawford is getting from his teammates. We need to show just as much love to the current players as we do to these recruits. Lets push Dillard, Clements, Crawford, etc... to be great, boast there confidence...So what we didn't get Collins, we got DILLARD, CLEMENTS, CRAWFORD, just might be a gem somewhere in there! It's not about one recruit it's about the []_[]!

Dillard. 6'2, 225.
 
I don't think Clements was healthy last year. He showed too much in 2011 to not get more carries.
