If using future draft potential, no chance Downs is top 5 as a Safety.

Qb, WR, Edge, maybe OT or CB

QB- manning/psu kid/maybe Beck
WR- Williams/Wingo
Edge- Simmons/Stewart

OT & CB no idea.

Not yet...but suspect it will be Manning by October.

Hopefully destroys Florida 4 Oct.

Y’all spent months wacking it to Mateer and not a single person drops his name?
Circumstances.

Mateer was the best option available given the circumstances & the Offensive fit. That's not mutually exclusive to being the best returning player.

He's a good QB, but Oklahoma is not projected to be a playoff team even with adding him. He'll make their Offense better, but he doesn't necessarily elevate them to contender status.

What last year & previous years have shown us, is in the playoff era having a good/great QB doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things.

The most important players to push your team over the edge to being playoff caliber, is Defensive catalysts & high valued Offensive skill players at WR & RB.

So when you look at the best returning players for the upcoming season, QB's are going to be in the 10-20 range mostly.
