DAILY DEBATE: What is the biggest reason for Miami’s struggles the past 20 years?

The Administration treated the football program like a mid tier ACC program with Head Coaches they hired, money spent on assistants, facilities, S&C, nutrition, Sports Science, overall investment.

Miami was last ACC school to get an indoor facility, when they actually needed one worse than any other school. Lost many practices with nowhere to finish practice when weather hit.

Didn't have turf practice fields, had to go to high schools to practice on turf before playing road games on turf until like 2013, and didn't have lighted fields until around same time.

Since Mario was hired, the administration is treating the program like a top 10 football program or very close at least.

Yes your'e right Miami wasnt even interested in him we always preffered "Pro Style" types but could never land an Elite one to save our lives... I agree with your points about the al golden era im just saying we couldve made more runs at a ACC titles had we landed an elite QB or two along the way since coaching certainly wasnt gonna get us there. We were in the hunt this yr while having an atrocious defense simply cuz our QB was elite... if brad kaaya was our QB this yr we finish somewhere around 7-6 maybe worse. Most important positon on the field and weve been below there average since 2001.
False!

- Coker had poor evals + lost passion

- We could have hired Gary Patterson in 2007 but chose Randy instead

- Mark D'Onofrio's ***** *** defense

- Richt refused to fire his son + give up OC duties

- Manny's defensive scheme being trash as long as the opposing team has a solid OL + Manny's poor recruiting evals (we wasted an elite OC)

- Mario's recruiting evals + incompetent game day coaching
