DAILY DEBATE: Predict Carson Beck’s stats

I think you need to account he has a better ol at Georgia and the fact sec d are lot better than then sec across the board
Better OL at Miami if you are looking at last years UGA OL.

2 years ago UGA played a cakey SEC schedule and regular season schedule, make an argument Miami's 2025 schedule is tougher than UGA's 2023 schedule.

Better supporting cast than he had at UGA last year and an easier schedule. Assuming his arm is 100%, his numbers should be significantly better than his 2024 numbers but not quite his 2023 numbers. Probably not what Cam gave us last year but significantly better than any Miami quarterback not named Cam Ward.

Beck is much more talented than most on here claim. He has 1st round potential. But unless we hit a home run in the spring portal, his numbers are going to be limited by a mediocre WR corps and Mario. He would’ve put up big numbers in our offense last year.

Yeah ok lol
Nice comeback.

2024 Miami OL was better than 2024 UGA OL.

UGA 2023 schedule:

UT Martin
Ball State
South Carolina
UAB
Auburn
Kentucky
Vandy
Florida
Missouri
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Georgia Tech

They got Ole Miss and Missouri at home both were 10-2.

Auburn 5-7
Tennesse was 8-4
Florida 5-7
Vandy 2-10
South Carolina 5-7
Kentucky 7-5

Miami plays wins from 2024:

ND-11
SMU-11
Syracuse-9
Lville-8
Florida-7
Pitsburgh-7

That is very comparable

2500yds
24 td
8 int

He isn't as good as this board thinks but he's certainly the best QB on the roster. Bet we severely overpaid, though.

Everyone take notes. This is what makes CiS special. Posted back to back 2 minutes apart with completely different takes. Bravo guys. Well done.

Assuming he’s back to his 100% without needing to change his throwing motion. He should be good for just north of 3000 yards with 28 +-2 TDs and 9 INTs. However, post spring portal we should have a much clearer picture of the team’s future.

For comparison, the combination of TVD, Emory Williams and Jacurri Brown threw for 3354 24/14 in 2023. Some of you honestly believe Carson Beck is going to put up worse numbers than that?

Disagree that UM has a "mediocre WR corps". UNTESTED yet, as they are young, but there is legit talent there that was wanted by most SEC programs. Let them get reps ... they will produce. + another WR is expected to join from the portal.

Just a prediction we will run way more so his numbers will go down

Why in the world would we run way more than we did last year?

2900 yards in 12 games? That's 241 yards per game. Those are Maalik Murphy numbers. We just had a kid go from relative obscurity to the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft, you think we're going to revert back to Duke's offense?

Beck threw for 285 a game last year with kids who couldn't catch chlamydia at a Bonnie Blue pool party, and a running game that averaged the 84th most yards per carry in the country.

Give him some receivers and a good line/running game, there's no reason to say he won't have close to as good of a year as he did in 2023 (I'll ding him some from those numbers because he won't have Bowers and McConkey here).

270+ a game, 9.0 YPA, Top ~15 in America in passer rating should be very doable in this offense.

Yeah, Mario really limited Ward's numbers last season.

Our WRs are definitely not mediocre, they're just young. I would argue guys like Trader, Carr, Moore and Toney have more upside than JG, Sam Brown and Horton. With one more portal WR, Beck has the chance to put up huge numbers. He still threw for 3,500 yards last year with a below average oline, 110th ranked rushing attack and the worst wr core in the country
