- The linebacker group is starting to look more like Miami. Francisco Mauigoia is showing a well-rounded game: multiple picks and sacks, stoutness taking on blocks, instincts and speed sideline-to-sideline. He looks different than any LB we've had since the Shaq days. Wesley Bissainthe is starting to string together good practices after a slow start. He had a nice scrimmage. Bobby Washington flashes every day. When those three are together, it looks right.

- Cornerback remains a problem area. Expect Portal additions there. Davonte Brown is the best of the group with his length at the catch point.

- Kam Kinchens makes a pick every practice, including an eye-popping one-handed catch in one-on-ones on Saturday. Markeith Williams bounced back from a rough scrimmage the prior week to have an outstanding showing on Saturday, quickly diagnosing plays and flying downfield.

- Looking forward to seeing everybody at the spring game on Friday. Things I expect to see: an offense that scores more than last year's game, a much bigger offensive line, improved WR play that still is missing one player, a DT rotation decimated by injury, faster LBs and less physically impressive CBs.

I like the good news, guys, thanks for all the insights. ... @DMoney I know we've run with freshmen LBs in the past, but I was never a fan. So while I"m happy we have three guys in Kiko, Wes and Bobby, I would really argue we have only 1 plus a couple of hopefuls. Maybe we're forced run with the young uns. But that's not ACCCG level roster management, IMHO.

Net/net, we're seeing development, which we desperately needed. That's good. The holes are the holes.

No expert. But I personally felt he was Day 1 or 2 material when coming out of high school. If he can get to 100% and stay there, he will add a dimension to this offense we haven't seen since Duke or Lamar Miller. Put another way, Chaney alone could mean an extra win or two in the W-L column.

@DMoney, any other edge rushers popping off besides Kelly? And if no one stands out, who’s benefited the most from Taylor’s tutelage (I know it’s only been a small amount of time).

Appreciate it as always. Looking forward to a healthy D-line in the fall. Trenches might be our strongest units when it’s all said and done, despite the depth being far from adequate.

The trajectory for Richardson that I was projecting. Richardson had imited action his first 2 years on campus. He won the shorts competition (combine) which is the reason he is still projected to be a high draft pick.

Don't know about the RS for Jacurri. He NEEDS live fire reps in order to grow. He could be the legit #1 QB in 2024 if he has the opportunity to grow during THIS season. With that experience under his belt and next Spring / Fall practice / development ... he is a totally different QB going into the UF game in September.

Michael Vick never got to 60% passing in college. Cam was at 60% at Blinn (Juco) then 66% at Auburn where he won it all. JB was at 60% last year.

So my question is, how far off is he in the right offense from producing like the aforementioned guys in college? Both Vick and Cam went to the National Title Game, with Cam winning it all.

Am i off base for making a comparison to those two? The kid looks like Voltron.

Right now you are off base. At this point a better comparison may be Xavier Lee.

Plus spread/air raid offenses inflate completion % soo much with easy passes that you can help your qb overall. Completion % is up across the board, teams are passing better than ever before even though passing overall is also up.
