Whats wrong with agreeing to play Q. Wilson at CB? Point is he is a very talented defender and as good as anyone in SoFl. Lets say he get to UM, struggles at CB and realizes that Safety is where he's best suited. Whats the problem since he'll be redshirting anyway and getting bigger and faster! Point is get the best taklent on your roster and put guys where best suited!

Quincy Is Overrated and super ****y, We will see how he does vs that Dade County competition University has added to its schedule. I've seen him get beat bad when he can't intimidate the Receiver at the line , His hips aren't fluided and he is stiff. I like Nigel Patton,Dedtric Nichlos,Chris Lammon and Cornelius Floyd over Quincy Wilson. He is going to get a rude awakening when he faces Zayquon Tyson,Kendrick edwards from Norland Lane from Homestead and Centrals Tavius Brown,Devonte Phillips and possibly Booker T's whole Receiving corp. University Secondary is the reason Sam Bruce got 5 offers in one day kid beat Quincy twice one for 81 yrds. Also beat Causey as well. University has there work cut out for them losing a lot of D-1 talent amd beefing up there schedule.

lol @ Quincy Wilson playing off covg. His whole entire highlight tape, and the thoughts that he only can play press.

Just watching that tape reminds me of why kid would make a solid to good safety prospect.

He and Marcus Gayot back there would be a deadly combo.

I just watched Quincy Wilsons tape for the first time. He is a nice player but 100% understand why Golden has not offered. He is slow in transition, has stiff hips, back pedal is slow and sloppy and he doesn't explode out of his back pedal (1:19, 3:38, 3:43). He has long speed and it takes him a while to get into top gear. Watch his chase downs at 1:40 and 5:01. He also has bad form tackling and leads with his shoulder. You can tell by his highlight film that this is the criticism he is getting from college coaches and scouts. It is why there are a lot of plays away that he is not involved in where they focus on his break out of the back pedal when he appears to move quicker than usual. It is classic highlight film gimmick. He made some nice plays but there were very few big plays - interceptions, interceptions with long returns, forced fumbles, big hits, TFL and he isn't exactly playing against 6A competition. I think he is nice player who can play at the BCS level but he is not elite by any means and he doesn't have huge upside. My best comparison is a smaller Ray Ray Armstrong.

As for his character, lets just say this. This kid and his dad have been bad mouthing the U ever since they didn't offer him early. He thinks he is better than he really is but I do give him credit for coming to the camps and trying to earn an offer. Golden is very crafty and my two sense (because I have heard of coaches doing this before) is they were waiting to offer to see how he and his dad handled the situation and obviously, it hasn't reflected well on them. I think he could have success but to me, and I don't know the kid, he seems like a locker room splitter. If he doesn't get what he wants or isn't starting, he seems like the type of kid who could divide a locker room. It seems like he is an influential kid and I don't think he always uses this skill wisely. Maybe it is immaturity, maybe he is a spolied and coddled kid who has always been told that he is the best. Who knows. But what I do know is the minute something isn't right, Chad Wilson will be on Joe Rose going Mr. Robinson on Golden & D'Nofrio.

In summary. Good Player. Not elite. More risk than upside. Do not want.

Only problem I have with not offering Quincy is the potential to lose out on Lane, Lammons, Cook, and others because SF kids like him a lot. Say what you want but recruiting now a days means that you have to offer friends and **** whether you think they deserve a scholly or not. Lets be honest there's a reason 40+BCS programs have offered him not saying he's elite but I think he should have been in this class as a serviceable guy.
