D$ breaks down second scrimmage

Is he struggling with the playbook? The talent is definitely there.
The implication was he needs time to gain experience, there's nothing wrong per se. Requires patience. Something in short supply with Canes fans in general and on CIS in particular.

Interesting. It's hard for me to see the accuracy change. I'd need a more in depth analysis.

Like what throws were they inconsistent with before that they hit at a better percentage now?

All I see is coaches minimizing what the players aren't good at. I've yet to see Josh Allen become a consistent short to intermediate passer outside the hashmark outside of back shoulder throws.

I've yet to see Jalen Hurts even complete a back shoulder throw. You could be right my guy. I just need more to say definitively.

You don’t watch football?

I know you were being tongue-in-cheek. But the truth is we will need to depend on the FR LBs to play a lot barring another quality transfer LB.

I was never a fan of starting freshmen at LB, was vocally against Shaq/Pinckney/McCloud, and also pushed back hard last year when most CISers wanted Wes to start. It's a very rare true freshman who can man the underneath and provide solid run support.

All that is to say, don't expect a shut down defense if we see these freshmen getting a lot of minutes, even if they have the potential to be great LBs over the longer term.

I only hope to see the younger players play at the moment because the upperclassmen are jags. Rather go through some growing pains than watch Flagg perfectly diagnose a play then take 10 to get to the spot. We’ll know we’re close to byke when kids like Popo may sit two years.

That's not really providing me substantial proof that their accuracy has improved as I said before. I SEE coaches that move around their weaknesses. I don't see either guy making throws they couldn't consistently make in college.

So unless you've broken down the film. You can't say for sure their accuracy has improved.

I’ll let you do the Google search, boss.

It’s all there.

If you don’t think their accuracy has improved, not only from when they started in college, but even when they initially began in the NFL, then you’re just ignoring reality.

This time last year how many of us would of said Bobby Washington would start at Miami before Robby does.

Not exactly what you asked. But I loved the kid's highlights and couldn't understand why he was so underrated for so long.

Just asking an honest question, can a qb with accuracy issues be coached up into a good passer or is accuracy just “either you got it or you don’t“
Accuracy can most definately improve. There's no magic. Based on what I hear (him throwing great in drills) it's probably his body/footwork or nerves in the moment when things get in context. He can fix it by drilling his body (TWSS) until it is automatically a reliable launchpad without thinking about it (perhaps sacrificing a smidge of explosiveness).

But I could be wrong. Most kids don't put that level of work in to truly make something that automatic. They just work hard enough to kinda feel like they fixed something. That's why I'm optimistic on his talent and hope he can work on his hands because he would be a weapon as a WR.
