One of Dan's top priorities needs to be a better slate of non-conference games. The ONLY saving grace for next year is that we get aTm at home, otherwise our three home games would be Miami of Ohio, Temple, and FAMU (assuming those are the opponents).

I know we have a bunch of pvssy fans who are going to cite "Alabama" or whatnot, but we really need to play two P5 schools per year. Doesn't have to be two playoff-caliber teams every year, ****, we need to private-school-guilt the Northwesterns and Vandys of the world into playing us regularly.

PLENTY of P5 schools that haven't yet scheduled us in the modern era (since we hired Saban and Schnellenberger back-to-back).
There are few and I mean FEW FBS teams playing two power 5 teams OOC, unless they have an instate rival that is built into the schedule yearly(Like FSU).

Most schools have(with some changes and cuts)

1 major conference team
2 Midmajors
1 Rent A Victim

Cut the crap. That is just pvssy bullsh!te.

I don't give a fvck about "unless they have an in-state rival". The Gaytor are pvssies too. Not our fault.

We need to play two P5 schools per year, one home and one away. There are PLENTY of P5 schools that aren't Alabama-Georgia-Ohio Taint. To argue that, say, Minnesota and South Carolina would be some sort of difficult unwinnable gauntlet is just more pvssy nonsense.

It's time for pvssies to stop acting like pvssies while walking around leaking pvssy-juice about "what other schools do".

Miami ISN'T "other schools", and any pvssy who argues that we should be playing three non-P5 schools every year "because that's what other schools do" should just turn in his Miami Hurricane fan card and get a tattoo that says "I'm a pvssy" across his forehead.

If Dan wants fans to buy season tickets and show up to games, he needs to stop the Beta Blake "Scheduling for Pvssy Fans 101" garbage.

So you don't ever expect improvement since Mario couldn't get it done right away?

I’m telling you to put a number on next years win total if youre going to bash people for saying 8-4 When that will most likely be an improvement over this year…

and quit arguing like a chick…we’re talking About next year and you turn that into “you don’t EVER expect Improvement?”…it’s pathetic

Hey, careful. I've got a mother, 3 sisters, a wife, and a daughter... and most of the "chicks" I know argue a **** of a lot better than that.

I agree that our out of conference scheduling has been subpar for the past decade or so. That said, we do have a home & home series with both UF and Notre Dame coming up in 2024 & 2025.

I'd like to see us reschedule the return trip to Michigan State.

Some viable options that Im seeing for the open 2023 spot:

* Baylor has an opening on their 2023 OOC schedule.
* UCF has a game with Villanova on Sept. 16th. They can easily buy that game out for a chance to play UM.
* UCLA has a game with North Carolina Central on Sept. 16th. Easy buy out.

Your assumption is probably right. Hopefully we don’t pull a MTSU in 2023, by having to write a big check ANNNDDD wear an *** whippin.
I'd say go play a big-12, pac-12, big-10 team if one can be found. ****, why not Hawaii.

Schedule wishes:

Texas - last game, the infamous 1990 Cotton Bowl (W)
Stanford - never played
Oregon - last game 1958 (W)
UCLA - last game 1998 (W)
USC - last game 1968 (L)
Ole Miss - last game, 1951 (W)
Michigan - last game 1988 (W)

We also have upcoming home-and-home series with Auburn, South Carolina, and BYU.

Temple is a road game next season.

Premier home games are Texas A&M and Clemson.

Unless the Clemson game was changed due to the division-less shuffling.

I'm just saying, the ACC portion of the schedule will always be 4 home games. We might not be able to completely control "who we play" in any given year, with the new rotation, as easily as we once did.

If you recall, when we first started the Atlantic/Coastal scheduling, we had F$U (historic rival) and VaTech (Coastal foe) always coming to Miami in the same year. I pointed this out for several years, and we finally played VaTech in the same location in consecutive years in order to flip it so that we always had EITHER VaTech or FSU at home each year, but not both.

So I tend to ignore the ACC games for the purposes of this argument, since that is out of our hands. I also kinda/sorta minimize Notre Dame (for now), as that was set up by the ACC, not any of our ADs, but I do give us credit for having the ND games on the OOC schedule. And playing the Gaytors is always a great thing.

The point I was making about what Dan needs to do is that he needs to start lining up good games now. NOW. I am grateful for what we have on the future schedule, but it's the "usual suspects". Notre Dame. Florida. Even aTm is an OOC opponent that we have played more than just about any other P5 OOC team over the past 30 years or so (not counting UCF who has recently become a P5 school).

Let's find some new blood. Let's play some teams that we haven't played in the regular season over the last 30 or 40 years. We all only live so long, there are some games that would be nice to see IN OUR LIFETIMES. And, sadly, USC hasn't happened in my lifetime. Or at least since the time when I measured my lifespan in months, not years.
