I was curious how high people think Miami’s recruiting could climb within the next 5 years if we were to land Cristobal this off-season.

According to Stevo, Mario is an elite recruiter and I agree. He would clean up South Florida.

I think regardless of how a great anybody is at recruiting. Miami so going to have to stack up some Ws to start getting them top 5s.

We probably in the 10-12 range until we stack Ws. Then top 5s start coming.

He'd have Miami 5-10 i think but he'd also recruit what we actually need. Meaning, he'd really focus on the trenches, the skill players would take care of themselves.

OL and LB recruiting has been horrible since Richt got here and has continued to plague us under Diaz. I think Mario would improve recruiting across the board.

I agree, I think Cristobal is a good coach who would do well with our current roster. But for him to get us winning or competing for titles, it would need to be on the back of his recruiting, similar to Butch.

I’m agreeing with you. But again, even with the “horrible”recruiting at those positions, we should be winning 9-10 games

It’s crazy to say this but there’s a pretty big talent gap between Alabama/Georgia/Ohio St and LSU/Oklahoma/etc.

Cristobal has proven to be a very good evaluator of HS talent as well as putting together a staff that can develop players
both issues we consistently fail to due over past 15+ years

Competing for titles? How’s about to get us to beating P5 teams again? What would he need to do for that? Cause it’s been quite a while.
