Tremendous addition to our staff but it wouldn't surprise me if he had a new job somewhere towards the end of the season or right when his buyout runs out...2 years max. With that said, glad to have him .
i'm not so sure mario books for another HC job. i think he sees the talent, vision and direction here and he sees that in a 3-5 years, assuming golden moves up, it his gig to lose. he's not leaving south florida, we already know that, so this is the best job in south florida for him and one with great upside down the road.

Not sure why Miami's fans keep thinking Golden is going anywhere. Golden has stated many times that this is his destination job. He was handed a pile of trash and then was handed an NCAA shytstorm and here he is??? Golden's wife has also made it be known that she doesn't to go anywhere and loves south FL. Miami fans have conjured up some make believe fairy tale that Miami doesn't pay it's coaches but Coker was the highest paid in the nation when he signed his new contract. That's part of reason the program was stuck hiring that bum Randy Shannon. Miami couldn't afford to pay Coker's salary and a top notch HC at the same time.
I see Golden here for a looooong time. He's in the nations recruiting hotbed and can enjoy everything south FL has to offer in the short amount of time he does get off. **** I bet Butch wonders everyday why he chose to leave prematurely. Howard said it was the biggest mistake he ever made. Maybe Golden aspires to be one of the best college football coaches ever. What better place to do it than right here in south FL?

dont disagree with you. but i thought the same thing about schnelly, JJ, Erickson and Butch, and all bolted after success here, so moving up is always a good possibility regardless of what Golden says. dont get me wrong, if he continues on the present course, i think he can have a lot of success at UM.

Money Talks...bull**** walks
Some NFL team is going to pay a pretty penny to have Golden lead them. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Jerry Jones poaching a great young coach from us AGAIN

Money isn't everything to everyone. Miami will pay Golden big money when he starts whooping ***. People forget Golden wanted this job badly. He himself says this is his destination job. I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is uproot his family while his kids are growing up. Like I said, Golden is going to be here for a loooong time.

Well Shnelly and Butch chose wrong. JJ had aspirations to win big in the NFL and did just that. Erickson was let go when the NCAA dropped the hammer on us. Golden strikes me as the type of guy who enjoys the college football experience. He's at his best developing young people into grown men. Not everybody aspires to be in the NFL. Until Golden actually leaves I'm going to say he is exactly where he wants to be and knows this is the best place to build a monster that can compete for championships every year.
I will choose to believe the HC rather than take wild guesses and shots in the dark because so and so did it before. Golden is a smart man and he can do big things here at Miami. He's at least 5-10 years away from going anywhere IMO. Let's hope he pulls a Bowden and is a thorn in the CFB world's backside for 25 years...
