But what has also killed our recruiting classes is compounding missing the elite guys in our backyard, but also missing the guys that play above their rankings

So yes I’m looking forward to being up there in the Top 10 and Top 5 consistently again, but the NIL might put even more of a premium on getting some of these guys we just totally missed on that maybe just took a little bit of work or experience to find

Agree, and Highsmith will help a lot here. Can’t be overstated how beneficial it is to have an elite talent evaluator like Highsmith

Judging by our lack of commitments it seems like he wants the kid to be sure when he pops. No BS. I’m sure he has multiple local kids still looking around that said they are in. He keeps recruiting. That’s how you do it. Difference is Dabo takes commits and says don’t even pick the phone up. Mario seems to say go look around and when you’re truly in, we will make it public. Maybe I’m wrong! Everyone on earth thinks Bain is coming right? He’s still visiting or has planned visits. So when they are done getting free cash and woman, they know what to do.

Someone said a long time ago, if a kid is going on visits he aint committed 100% so he aint committed. I think Mario gets that loud and clear where other coaches may have wanted to rest on their laurels.
