Cristobal Makes Case For Miami on ESPN

I agree … FSU would have limped into the playoffs while I believe we can make the most out of the opportunity.
Mario is leaning on the idea that we have one less loss than Bama but I think.. just like the case from FSU last year… the committee will put in who they believe would be better suited for the competition. If whoever gets in that last spot and they get embarrassed in their first game .. the other team that was kept out will have a lot to say about the selection.
We would be limping into the playoffs not because of injury but because we lost 2 out of our last 3 games. FSU was kept out on the belief that they couldn’t compete we will be left out because we were not able prove it on the field. Hope I’m wrong but that’s why I think they go with Bama…again.

Funny how people on here yesterday were saying "Where's Mario?", "he needs to be out there lobbying like Saban did lastyear". Mario goes on ESPN and it's now "make the case on the field, not the mic"
are the same people saying it? If so rightfully call them on it. But on a message board with thousands of porsters and millions of porsts, there will be differing opinions/ideas.

In the subject itself I feel it needed to be said Sunday or Monday, not hours before the reveal.

I think he needed to do this Sunday and yesterday and not after the committee likely has already made their decision.

As others have said, deserve has nothing to do with it. If we get in it is because they want us in for whatever reason. Ratings, offense, Cam, whatever.

I tell you what. If any of these teams that are lock to make it that are playing this weekend, if their QB goes down with a season ending injury, they better be out. That precedence was set last year with FSU and that better be followed.

Coach u have to make the case on the field .. not from behind a mic ! U had a golden opportunity and you blew it !

what you're saying is 100% correct, but it doesn't negate the substance of what he's saying or how deserving our players are in comparison to the field.

I agree with him.... Besides if the Committee is smart a Miami- ND matchup is a ratings bonanza. That alone with Cam Ward and the #1 offense will probably sell more than every game in the first round and possibly the second.

I just want it played in south florida not south bend!

I think leaving out the number 1 offense in the country when they have a perfectly valid argument to get it would be foolish. You can scheme to stop Milroe and Oklahoma proved it. You can not stop Cam Ward as no team has shown that yet.
Fsu sorta did

Valid. I hadn’t thought about that before, but you’re absolutely right. Although there is quite a difference between a 4 team tourney vs 12.

Listen, that’s a crock of ****. Every other ******* coach and team and athletic Director and conference commissioner is advocating for their team’s **** ******* straight He better be on TV.

They are two separate issues. None of those other teams did it on the field either

They already put an undeserving Bama team into the playoff rankings a few weeks back. Playoff committee wants Bama. I think we will feel like FSU did last year.
Be kinda funny though if a year later the same situation happens but we jump bama instead. Nole tears would be amazing lol

He'd look stupid af lobbying on the field after an embarrassing loss like that.
