I originally said that even Dems called it out and u said to get outta my conservative echo chamber… I’m just quoting a Dem and Biden’s Pentagon

Getting Americans back is good and I’m happy she’s back… but we got played big time like with Bergdahl and it sets a bad precedent

But if u think it was a good even trade… that’s perfectly fine to have that opinion.., to that I would just say, get out of your liberal echo chamber tho

A short time later NBC News went and stealth edited their article to agree with that, changing the line to say, “the Kremlin ultimately gave the White House the choice of either Griner or no one after different options were proposed.”​

It was only after they were caughtstealth-editing that they added a note — hours later — about the edit, writing “an earlier version of this article misstated the choice the Biden administration was given over hostages. It was to swap for Griner or no one, not a choice between Griner or Whelan.”​

I highlighted the portion of your statement that said " they lied that Griner was the only choice". That was what I was talking about getting out of the conservative echo chamber about. It was a false narrative put out there which has pretty much gone away with the Whelan family themselves coming out and defending Biden's handling of the situation.

I agree it's not a fair trade. How could trading a violent offender for a somebody found with cannabis oil be a fair trade? You knew they weren't releasing her without getting a king's ransom in return though. They had a public American figure behind bars. You can't buy that publicity.

The kicker to why this may not be as horrendous as it appears to be is Bout only had 6 years remaining on his sentence while Griner had 9 years left. Why isn't all media, but especially conservative media, asking why a dude as evil and deadly as Bout had only 6 years remaining on his sentence? He was sentenced to 25 years in 2011, but was scheduled to be released in 2029 (18 years)?

I got u but NBC is the one that put out that it was Griner or Whelan and only changed their narrative AFTER Biden said it was Griner or no one (and then Kirby and the media train piled onto the new narrative script). NBC then tried to “correct” it without notice but got called out and then issued then”correction” statement

The only things conservative media pointed out was that they said one thing and changed it based on the new narrative. That’s not conservative echo chamber… that’s fact

You put it out there that the Biden admin lied that Griner was the only choice. Now, you're saying she was the only choice? Why make that statement in the first place? Whatever you say dude, later.

You are just trolling at this point. You originally said Dems lied that Griner was the only choice offered by Russia.

I provided you with quotes from the Whelan family that Whelan's freedom was not offered and they backed the Biden decision to take what they could. And with SoS Blinken's quote that only Griner was available to offer.

Then you said all conservative media did was point out that NBC tried to quietly make a correction when they originally posted that Whelan or Griner was available. They didn't say the original story was correct, just that NBC tried to make the change without announcing the change. Big whoop. Or is that to show something surrepticious occurred and underhanded, deep state government in collaboration with MSM is hiding the "real" story? JFC

So, either you believe Whelan and Griner were offered as an either/or option and the Biden admin made the choice of Griner - and I stand by my original response there is no evidence out there for such a statement to be made and NBC retracted the incorrect story OR you know Griner was the only American offered for a swap by Russia and still made the statement that Dems lied about it.

Griner, Whelan AND Fogel, should have AT THE VERY LEAST been a 3 for 1 deal. Biden is a **** and his admin is a joke; akin to Carter during the hostage crisis. Stop carrying water for this crap deal.
