if you are an elite dt why would you want to play in a 3-4? You won't be making plays in the backfield and will just be taking on blocks. Heck even Saban has only had 3 dl drafted since he's been at bama. The canes have had more.

No. Coach Golden has repeatedly said that is not true. We are a 4-3 team.

We are a 4-3 team now. But we ARE moving towards a 3-4. Look at the dl recruiting over the last 2 years. And look at his coaching background and the guys he coached under.

What a stupid question! We send more kids to the nfl than most teams, even at 6-6. Not one doubt this team will be back, will just take a couple more years, Shannon left us empty

If we do go to the 3-4 and those big body 2 gap dl we HAVE to go the juco route. Even Saban does it pretty much every year bc he knows you need men to run that scheme...can't wait and hope the young ones develop...Tenn switched to the 3-4 this year and went and got two big jucos and have the number one juco dl committed for next year...2011 saban got Jessie Williams and Quinton Dial..both starters.

Doesn't matter if I am or not...but these 17/18 year old kids sure are. And they're the ones who matter, not me.

We've lined up in a 3-4 like 2 times, we are a base 4-3 team that was supposed to be multiple, whatever the **** that meant.

Where's the proof? Hope you're right, but have they sold Bryant and Bostwick on being DE's? Seems like they have the size you need for a 3-4 DE.
