If Keith Bryant sticks with us, could he end up winning the starting job next year over Olsen Pierre or Earl Moore? Could it be him and Porter? Is he better than the guys we have now?

I think we're gonna go with porter and Pierre but I'm pretty sure **** get in the rotation unless our d tackles have a miraculous offseason

I see him as the #3 and in the rotation heavily

Yup. All due respect to Moore and Ivery but Bryant is much better as a prospect. Of course we won't know till he gets here but he better make an early impact for our sakes.

I think he will rotate with Pierre at the 3 technique. I don't see a kid that athletic being played at nose much.

If he enrolls early, it helps his cause. He will be competing with a few elder statesmen (Moore, Ivery and Pierre) and I think he could be in the three deep. I am assuming Porter will be one of the starters.

Not a fan of freshman DT though.

Yes. We desperately need interior pass rush and Bryant brings that.

Kind of goes against everyone's claim on the board that "you shouldn't be playing a freshmen on the line. Ever."

Also feel like he will make more of an impact than E. Moore did this year, but Moore should better with an off-season of Utough to bulk up and get stronger.

A healthy Porter (fingers crossed)
Pierre
Luther Robinson
Bryant
Earl "no neck Moore"

I could live with that.

Gonna be another long year if we have to rely on true freshman DL.

i thought Al was a great talent evaluator? What about his last two classes full of DL?

I really don't care if he's a freshman, a JuCO Soph, or a RS Senior, if he can contribute than let him play. If he's physically ready and can disrupt the LOS, then I say give the kid some snaps. So tired of class labels, I just want football players.

I remember this time last year people were saying Deon wasn't ready and needed a RS year, and that Tracy Howard would instantly be our #1 CB. Oh boy were they wrong,

Possibly, but it is VERY difficult for a true freshman DT to make an impact his first year. DTs most often rely on physical abilities in HS without much technique. They also usually lack the strength required to line up against (just as strong), 6-4, 300 pound guys.

I agree that he MAY be better than Earl Moore right now, but will he be better than a sophmore Moore, junior Robinson, and senior (hopefully healthy) Porter? Also have Ivery laying in the weeds. He will definitely push these guys, but in a perfect world, freshamn DL's should ALL shirt IMO.

Even the 5 star guys who went to FSU couldn't get valuable PT their freshman years... Tim Jerningan, Mario Edwards. If you want decent dline he shouldnt be playing next year

You said it yourself. They've only been in college for 1 or 2 years. I think you'll see a significant jump from Pierre next year. If you do, it'll show the type of evaluator we can count on.
