why?
in the past, hiring an on field analyst to his first on field coaching gig would have caught so much heat, and it should now, ESPECIALLY with our budget.
truth is, that you guys have made up in your head that cormani has somehow demanded DVD be promoted for him to come here and you guys are desperately hoping for your lord and savior cormani to stay committed

If he’s earned it, yes. But a HC doesn’t promote an analyst just to get one recruit. It would create a precedent that would not be good in the future.

WE DIDNT MAKE IT UP. literally go back to the insider reports from cribby and others regarding DVD and Cormani. he was legit told DVD would be his coach when he committed. also, why hasn't DVD earned the role? hes carried the staff in recruiting (addae hasn't done ****, Steele LOL) and hes been an analyst for years now. he spent some time as a DB Coach with T Rob previously but basically as an assistant. you either promote him or let him take another role to get that job.

Is it at all possible that the DC is changing and Mario can't guarantee the role for DVD under this new person? It's odd to me because going back on this would not only affect Cormani but also DVD.

cormani could easily portal out the next day or next month, next year etc. and then we would have promoted an undeserving coach for nothing
hire the best coaches all time
one recruit won't make or break us, especially with the way mario recruits

Might’ve been a snowball effect… the uncertainty caused him to have some doubts which snowballed into talks and negative recruitment.

then fire the DC a month ago. you had plenty of time. also, Mario had no issues picking out a coordinators staff before, why change now?
