He didn't sign because he's not 100% sure he wants to come to Miami. For whatever reason, he's not 100%.

don't think him not signing NLI with Miami means that. seems more like a smart decision by him and his camp.

if there's even a scintilla of a chance that he can enroll somewhere else soon while being unable to enroll here, then it was in his interest not to sign the NLI.

there obviously a giant pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for him the second he enrolls somewhere. hopefully it's here. if it isn't, best of luck to him.

My thoughts as well. I can't image this issue is unique to just UM (if it is admissions as speculated by some). Hoping over the next month that the two sides can figure out a path where he ends up a Cane. It's going to be a LONG month.
