Seems like Mario would know if it was a grade thing or not. Based on what he said yesterday, assuming he was talking about Cormani it aint grades.

Respectfully, grades for the first semester aren’t due until January 4th. If he has, hypothetically, a failing grade in senior English, that would be a new development.

Alright, let's dispel a few myths.

First, we are dealing with a player who purportedly cannot graduate early. Might he be able to graduate in May? Nobody seesm to really know that with certainty, so maybe we shouldn't be speculating wildly.

Second, on the issue of wild speculation, at least a couple of people (seriously or jokingly) are hinting that he is a LONG WAY from qualifying. IF THAT WERE TRUE, then it seems highly likely that he would ALSO be an academic "redshirt" (I hate that term, but I'll play along). The newer NCAA rules require a player to meet certain core class requirements by the end of the junior year. There's no way in **** that everything was great at the end of the junior year AND THEN SUDDENLY everything took a dark turn in the half-year since. It just wouldn't make any sense, and would be completely fixable with a strong academic finish to the senior year. So, again, see Point 1 above, we should not be speculating wildly.

Whatever is going on...is not anywhere close to a surprise for either Cormani or Miami. It might impact timing of enrollment and a couple of other things, but we need to let this play out.

Done following this thread. This is not getting resolved anytime soon and I’ll assume he’s not in this class unless he finally signs with us which most likely wouldn’t be until Feb.
