I love ya, man, but what in the actual fvck?

Of the pre-signing-day commits, we SIGNED all but one. And unlike some of the "winners" (cough, cough, F$U), we didn't actually LOSE Cormani as a flip.

In the meantime, ON SIGNING DAY, we picked up a 4-star CB rated #187 overall, a punter, and Mauigoa and Gore in the Portal. HOW IN GOD'S NAME does that make us one of the biggest losers? Even if you JUST limited yourself to "Cormani flipped, but we got Damari", we still would have signed a CB, just the #187 overall instead of the #2 overall. Meanwhile, "winner" F$U lost their second-best recruit (#81 overall) and got NO REPLACEMENT for him.

AND F$U is sitting on 16 high school signees, with ONE 5-star, for the #17 overall class. Miami has 26 signees and verbals, with THREE 5-stars, for the #4 overall class.

And somehow, F$U is a "winner" and Miami is a "loser" (even with an asterisk).

How does any of THAT make sense? Ivins is a complete hack.
**** close to a perfect signing day from my perspective. Everyone pretty much locked up beforehand, picked up a couple transfers, snatched a stud CB that Bama wanted, and virtually everyone signed with no drama. Perfect maybe is Cormani also signing and an unexpected stud WR. But I’m hopeful Cormani inks tomorrow and there’s still time to add recruits and transfers. By far the most enjoyable signing day as a Canes fan in many years. A ton of really good players with great size and athleticism. Seriously has been a long, long time since we had a haul like this.

Let be real here, kid is feeling himself right now. He is still in HS, and just had the cfb world stop because he didn’t sign. Through it all he is very wealthy regardless of age and if he stays focused he has a ridiculously bright future ahead of him.

The CFB world did NOT stop. Take a step back. There’s never signing day drama, is there?

247 legit called Miami losers on this signing day. With or without Money this class stacked.
I agree, I absolutely love this class. Best class we have had in 15+ years with of without Cormani.
Getting CM would be very nice topping though.

Wow, did 247 say that on one of thier segments?
I’m beginning to dislike 247 more than rivals. All these recruiting sites are bias as ****. Makes them unwatchable, that’s why I never watch them. They don’t know **** and bias as ****.

No it’s like running in a cross country race, being 3rd going into the final stretch and have been telling everyone rumors of how you’re good at sprinting at the end, but instead you end up 4th.

Very good finish overall and gets you back into the national spotlight with a bright future, but the final stretch was a disappointment.
If we go with this analogy….. we were the under dog running a surprising 3rd. Zero chance to move up against the past two defending champs who were just too far out in front.. best case scenario we close the gap a bit.. as is, we held our pace & possibly had another runner (who was on our heels) finish stronger.

It was a snippet. Just a bad take. As someone (forget who) mentioned, if we made the guys who committed last week wait to announce we’d be the talk of ESD.

As for the class, guys like Wayne & Colin A (Michigan flip) were after thoughts in Mario’s presser. Barely got a mention. In years past, they’d be the class headliner.

Beating out Bama for a 4-star Heritage CB is landing a big player. The only reason people aren't going crazy for it here is because Cribby exists and we knew it was in the bag. Signing day is the finish line but frankly people are overly concerned about timing. Because Bain, Johnson and Okunlola decided to make their decisions public in the days leading up to today instead of waiting some people are underwhelmed.

If they had informed the staff silently on the days they went public and just waited until today to let the world know nobody would be questioning Miami being big winners. Same class ranking and just waiting for Cormani to sign.
I’ll take a #3 class and an “underwhelming” signing day every year if we could.
Mario did an awesome job, getting these kids committed early and keeping them committed. Plus he added Brown and a bunch of good transfers.
Only complaint is the Cormani situation but I think he signs with us tomorrow and end up with a fantastic class. I haven’t been this thrilled on signing day, since 2008.

Well said

We were also 5-7 just in case anyone forgot

Just imagine the publicity if other teams had pulled this off?

Not really. If he's wrong, he can do what a lot of these "insiders" do and pretend they never said what they said. That's what the CU insiders are going to pull if McClain ends up in Coral Gables. They can say "My source was wrong", and get away with it.
How do I put this without trying to insult someone?

No. Geo is ****ed on social media if he is wrong. People don't care about that, especially the Miami fanbase.

But I know Geo for some time now, he isn't the type of dude to lay his balls on the line like that. He has a really good relationship with recruits. Additionally, none of the big guys seem to be worried, so... I wouldn't be worried.
